He wasn't moving, stuck his head out from behind a cedar fence picket. I was sitting at my shooting bench, gun rested. I hit where
I was aiming, but it wasn't a fantastic shot. Crickets are tack drivers!

Yeah probably is. Compared to some of the rats I shoot around here, this looked small. Check some of my old posts and you'll see some jumbo rats!
