Pellet cost

Crosman HP 22 are 6.28 for 500 at Walmart ,and that is what I used to squirrel hunt with and target shoot.I found that most pcp will shoot them almost as good as JSB or better, but you got to tune the PCP,to the Crosmans, not like the Utubers with their PCP tune to JSB. And the Pellets are made in the USA.

For those of you complain about the price of pellet, buy the Crosman Premiers at Walmart, they shoot well in a lot of guns and are cheap. If you can’t afford those, you might want to think about getting out of the hobby
Good point regarding the Crosmans. They are better than many give them credit for. Combine those with sorting via a Pellet Guage (or similar device) and the accuracy will be right up there with the higher tier stuff.

Minimum wage? Most pellets are manufactured in foreign countries.
Because the clerk at the store or at PA etc has to have a wage increase so that gets directly passed on to the consumer. The owner/operator of a business has a bottom line percentage they want as profit and they'll get it any way they can. The dark side of capitalism.

With rare exception, I've been unable to get what I consider to be sufficient 50 yard accuracy from any Crosman pellet in either .177 cal or .22 cal for almost 10 years now. Tins or boxes, hollow points or domes, lights or heavies. By sufficient accuracy I mean dime-sized groups...roughly 1.5 MoA. Enough to confidently take small game or pests (gray squirrels, chipmunks, etc.), or enough to make it interesting to punch groups or shoot small reactive targets (e.g. Mardi Gras beads).

Granted for 25 - 30 yards, the picture changes a bit. But various offerings from RWS, H&N, Norma, and even Daisy have proven more fruitful for around the same price. Just buy when they're on sale, examples being RWS and H&N from Amazon, or Norma and Daisy factory direct.

Be glad you do not shoot hi caliber powder burners here is cost difference

JSB Match Diabolo Exact Jumbo HEAVY | .22 Cal | 18.13 Grains | 500 Ct

$19.49
.04 per round

Hornady 50 BMG 750 GR A-MAX 10 Rounds

MSRP: $114.95 Price: $76.34

$7.63 per round

.04 cents a shot is alot cheaper then $7.63 a shot

bottom line everything went up

LOU
Really you're using a 50 cal as an example? .22 LR is more like it.

Have them send them to to your local store. They’ll hold your order for a few days. You don’t even have to go inside to pick them up
