3 for $1 Bubble Levels

Dollar store tinkering goodies I suppose you would call them. I know I am not the only one thinking this will be useful other ways as well...am I? I want to get those like on tripods too.the little circles for horizontal

I have gotten some similar ones on Amazon for real cheap, but usually get a large pack so I can set them all out with good levels to compare against. That way I can keep the good ones and throw the rest away.

The liquid vial...WILL BE accurate !!!! It's just a simple piece of tubing with two lines and a liquid inside and sealed.

It's the mounting of said liquid vial is where the "accuracy" comes from.

I have seen tubes that are not flat and some with slight bumps on the inside. Junk in either case.

…If you make them level yourself, then you are correct, they will be level. But the liquid vials come in a plastic housing that isn’t perfect. As @rc4fun mentions… They aren’t all the same. Sure, you can adjust the mounting to make them flat, but the manufacturing tolerances on these thing are not exact… they are cheap after all.

Here was a pic I took of my last order with a reference level. I tested them against 3 levels on 2 different tables and even shifted them around on the tables to point in different directions to allow for table variances. They looked almost identical every time I moved them.

I'm not really using them for accuracy right now; using them for leveling pieces together first and fiddling around

Good idea!! I would say for most of us under most circumstances this method would be precise enough. Heck I’m more often then not eyeballing it and the guns shoot pretty darn good.

I’m not dissing them at all. I actually like them better than most of the picatinny ones I have used. I even have one on my Thomas.

They work fine and are literally stick anywhere with this mounting tape I plan one getting more and putting them on lots of "gunna stay there" places, sometime...

If you've checked them against a known reference then your good to go. Use some E6000 to stick them in place and you are good to go until you change something.
