Weekend Playtime *pic heavy*

Been excited to do some turning this weekend. Last weekend was freezing cold and then when it warmed up, of course the rain came. Today was nice outside.

Been wanting to finish up some knives here and finally got them done today. Still need final polish and of course sharpening. Will do kydex sheaths for some and leather for others when I get motivated to do so.

Also made the wife a cedar two tone dog whistle... Need to make a leather lanyard for it.

and made a few oak 'barrel' whisky shot glasses. Charred the inside and used walnut oil with powdered pine rosin mixed in to seal the outside.

Worked on a little bowl...

and while I was waiting on finish or glue to cure, did a little shooting at my range. ...and yes, please no discussion on the pistola. I posted it because of the scope. It's been perfect for this purpose and it's the only AO pistol scope I've found that goes to 12x. So far, it's done well. The Impact is wearing a new to me Pard and I have to say I really like it.

Thanks, all... they definitely look better than some of my earlier knives. Quite happy with these, actually. I've got another batch of 4 or so that I need to heat treat and then finish grind and I've got 3 blades I've forged out that I need to do initial grinding on. Too many hobbies, not enough time while working full time at a 'real' job!

Oh! Wow!! Very nice work 👌 I remember now, seeing your work back in the days. Everything is exceptional, really.

I still enjoy my knives, but have to resort to buying them as I have no space, time, talent, or tools/equipment for such endeavor.

Here’s a couple really fun pictures. My 16 Y/O boy is probably more excited about knives than even me. I take him to Blade here in ATL every year.
