Where’s Dr. Mike and Biohazardman?

I'd been wondering about Dr.Mike as well lately. He was buying a new gun fully decked out for every weekend outing and then posting them for sale a week later. Blew my mind how many he must've gone through. The candle that burns twice as bright burns twice as fast - maybe he just burnt himself out on the hobby and moved on.....

Yup, that was crazy. I think I bought 2 or 3 of those Impacts from him - all in great, as new condition. Then a week later, he'd have a couple more to sell! It was like he had an endless supply of them.

Absolutely! I was in exactly the same boat. I’ve purchased 2 or 3 guns from him. I was just talking to my sons about this then signed on and saw this post. I too have been wondering about both of them.

Are you guys in need of a well priced, like new Impact right now? Is that why you're wondering where the Dr. is??? ;)

😂

Who isn’t in need of a well priced Impact? The fact that I have two M3s has nothing to do with it.

But actually, no. I was literally talking with my two adult sons about the forum, buying and selling airguns, and the fact that there were some guys who I was confident buying from or selling to, with Mike Long being right up there, when I logged in and there was the question about Dr. Mike and Biohazardman.

Asked about @biohazardman a few months ago. Today I noticed that @Cannonball is also MIA. A thing to keep in mind about Dr. Mike (@Mikelo123) is that said in multiple occasions that he was helping military veterans by getting them involved in shooting airguns. It seemed therapeutic for them the way he put it. My impression wasn’t that he was just running through a lot of guns for himself.

I am a bit concerned about BioMan, as some of his threads from past I see stuff deleted?

Wasn’t he moving out of State the last we heard from him?

As far as Dr Mike Long, his lack of involvement in the forums started right when Covid came about, he still posted a bit letting all know how busy he was with his long shifts. About that time he posted a thread asking members which gun to buy that he’d never owned before, to outshoot a fellow Dr in some competitive bet where whoever lost had to hand his weapon over to the other, like raving for pinks.

You all remember that? We never did hear back the results.

I also remember he had a new AV compressor fail and he was frustrated with that episode.

Maybe you all are right. Maybe he’s moved on to another hobby.

And yes, like was mentioned, he did assist the vets a lot by taking them air gunning.

There’s another chap that recently disappeared, and although he was more popular on the GTA, he was making his way here, also and that’s the KNIFEMAKER Mike

There could be many factors involved. I was an Archery Talk guy for years. Had quite a few internet friends there. When too many been bow hunting 5 years, thin skinned know it alls started showing up, it started to not be so fun. They loved to argue with their minimal knowledge. Then we started getting time-outs for not being PC and it was funny at first. Then most of us left. It’s the evolution of a forum. It’s a shame because when you or someone else has a problem, there are certain names you would like to see show up to help. When those guys are gone, and it’s happening here, who are you getting advice from? A guy who knows less than you? All that really matters is that guys like Knife and Bio are healthy and are still enjoying life. Guys like Dr. Mike are common in hobbies. I call them comets.

Long time member of Archery Talk also. I probably haven't been on there in at least two years now.

Knife was on GTA not THAT long ago. I was worried too because he hadn't been on in over a year.

Bio, not sure what's up with him.

What gets me is what happened to that guy Odoyle? How do you get like 8000 posts in less than a year and then just varnish? Was he a bot, or some scammer? Same deal with the Yo... just vanished. I heard he scammed some people out of money, dunno for sure.
