Carbon fiber barrel liner sleeve specs for FX Impact 0.22 and 0.25 STX liners

Hello AGN:

I know this was probably already covered before but couldn't search for it successfully so sorry for asking again...

I need to get some carbon fiber tubing to make 500mm and 600mm barrel liner sleeves for my FX Impact 0.22 and 0.25 STX liners. Can someone provide both the specs needed (ID, OD, overall length) for those configurations and link(s) as to where to buy them?

Appreciate the help!

Thanks!

Find what you are looking for with this link: https://utahairguns.com/fx-carbon-fiber-liner-sleeve/. I imagine you could take the measurements and order something from China but that would not support the community nor the vendors working to supply us with goods and services.
If I can't easily find what I'm looking for, that's what I'd end up buying. Point here is that I cycle through a good number of rifles and barrels so wanted to have the tubing material to make a sleeve for each one I have and will get in the future. Doing that at $29.99 + shipping each time adds up when realistically the raw tubing will cost a fraction of that and would be easy to cut.

The money you think you will save, you probably won't. These things do not work well if they do not fit closely to the OD of the barrel. The current venders have done that homework for you. If you buy raw tubing that does not fit it would be a real waste of money. I just installed one on my Crown and for all but one end fit perfectly, but was .006 too large on that end. Fortunately, I have a lathe, (in fact I have 3) so this was a non-issue for me. There is enough variation in size to be not plug & play.

I've been waiting monthS for the .25 700mm liner sleeve to be in stock (anywhere). Anybody have word on when they might be in stock somewhere in the good old USA?
Try finding one in .30 700mm lol. I actually found that Krale had them in stock. Already got shipping confirmation so I guess they did.

Just a bit of related news. I had installed a CF tube in my 600 mm Crown. I also rebuilt a leaking regulator. The reg is now adjusted exactly where it was at 135 bar. I have had everything apart and last night I finished reassembling the gun. I have a 300 gr moderator hung on the end. The POI was 3.25 inches higher at 25 yds. than it was before the CF tube. I knew the moderator caused some droop, but not as much as it did. The CF tube really adds significant barrel stiffness.

I hope this is helpful.
I pulled what I have from my stock and from a couple guns to measure the ID, OD and lengths I have in CF liners, in the calibers .22 and .25
I have CF in .17 and .30 in 600 and 700mm if it is relevant...Ask.
Opinion:...
500mm Carbon Fiber does not offer an apparent advantage to a "compact" setup (IMO) as it is so stiff and solid because of the short distance from muzzle to the breach block. My "barrel tensioner kit" makes it over the top solid as it is.
My idea would be to test a CF liner for "harmonics" as the possible advantage.

Peace, Patrick...

  • It appears each CF liner from 500-700 is 10,5mm shorter than the liner length. So;
  • 700mm= 59,5cm
  • 600mm = 49,5cm (posted example)
  • 500mm= 39,5cm

ID / OD for the .22 and .25 are what I have here...Length's are as described above (-10,5cm)

.22 ID/ OD here is from my 700mm liner.

.25 caliber in 600mm is here in ID / OD, along with liner OD

Here is a 600 and 700 reference for length photo (assume 500mm is the same ratio).
