Role reversal between my taipan and caiman

A little bit of role reversal happened today for one reason.

I just could not get a comfortable cheek with the sightmark mounted on the taipan, so I figured with the lower rail mounting on the Caiman it would do better. It does feel 100% better but I still am not sold on it completely even though it is a large improvement.

I think maybe I need to just man up and get a clip on thermal and have glass on both rifles.

Either way they're both ****ing sick aren't they, pardon my French but look at those beauties, and ya, they perform as good as the freaking look.

You know, as much as I say rear cocking is a non issue for me, because it isn't to me personally, I think the left forward cocking of the caiman is gunna allow me for some quick shots on nearby rats after the first shot.

Not you specifically, as there's bout 3 of ya that jump on the rear-cocking every available chance. Mostly meant it as a light-hearted joke at the tenacity with which the anti rear-cockers pledge their stance.

The taipan

The only true benefit The caiman has over the taipan is the forward cocking

The caiman is a superb rifle but it would take a great kami from donnyfl to make it as quiet as the taipan is stock. The trigger doesn't even come close to the taipans. I would shoot groups with the taipan out to 100 on the perfect day in compact form but wouldn't dare with the caiman.

It will out perform it in almost every way.

@UCChris. Don't discount the caiman, I'm just a lover of taipans. The ergonomics on the Caiman are amazing, it's biggest downfall is how loud it is but at 21 inches end to end with no moderator and making 30 fpe, with no factory shrouding its going to be loud.

It sounds like a .22lr without a suppressor hahaha but that donny sumo does a good job

You confirmed my suspicions. I've had two Veterans and each time I think about a high end gun, it seems that the only way to get something truly better than a Veteran is to go to a top tier Daystate or something.

I had an Alpha Wolf in .22 shooting redesigns and this very compact , this compact was more consistent and shot just as well for me.... sold the alpha wolf... just saying.
