Veyron scope might be bad?

I just installed the scope on my test gun My Mutant 22, I installed a 2023 battery in the scope and the light was a very tiny little dot sometimes you could see and sometimes not, strange so I installed a new battery same thing , The rectictle is so thin it is invisible at 6 to 20 power, at 24 power its a hit and miss , I cant see it, Even with the IR on its on and then gone, I am boxing it up and sending it back I am not sure if the scope is just bad or my old eyes can not see the super fine rectictle ... But I do love the light weight 20 ozs of the scope, I really can't believe fussing about a few OZS I was a power lifter for 40 years . LOL thats a funny one on me.

I have the compact 4-16, and yes, the reticle is thin. The IR is just a dot in the middle also. Not sure if this is the same along the whole line, but mine is supposed the be this way. I dontvmind the reticle, and the IR acts as a red dot at low power, so it’s perfect for what I use it for.

I purchased one awhile back and mine is the same way. Just been using it to get me through squirrel season. I will see about returning mine as well. Good luck.

Not sure about the illumination, but reticle thickness is an issue with any FFP scope that has a high range of magnification. Some are too thin on the wide end, others too heavy on the high side. There are a few that seem to find the best balance, but even then there is compromise. I have chosen to mostly use SFP scopes for this reason. What you see is what you get from the reticle. I am mostly shooting from a bench or at least without short time constraints. For those who run and gun FFP is more needed.

I have the Tac Vector sentinel SFP and love it for the price/performance ratio.

Took a little effort to get the eyepiece adjusted just right for a clear, crisp reticle on my VV 6-24x44 FFP (Non-illuminated). Maybe give that adjustment one more go before returning scope. WM

I adjusted the eyepiece , I turned the IR knob all different ways, The red dot would come and go, I would be looking in the scope and the dot would just be gone. Maybe the Athlon scopes have just spoiled me , Of all people I shouldn't be obsessing over ozs, My Argos BTR 6x24-50 has been my base scope on most of my PCPs , My 35.5 oz Helos 6x24-56 had me thinking about a lighter scope for my incoming Huben, I pretty well am sticking with the FFP line as I do hold over and under no dialing for me.
Thanks guys for all the post and all this scope stuff has been a GIANT learning curve for me , I am just at the tip of the iceberg.

I just got a Vector Sentinel 8-32 to use for target work. I'm happy so far, tracking is better than my other scopes in this price range but glass is not great with the power turned up. I expected that in a less than $200 scope of this magnification. I haven't tried the illumination yet. I never use that for targets. But it can be handy when a BTR is hiding in the shade of a big tree. I like thin reticles for target work but I prefer a simple mil dot reticle for hunting (because I can easily see it).

I just got the paper back where I sent the scope back, They said the reticle was very thin and that was the way the scope was made, OK. I said what about the blinking red dot , I was told the blinking was made into the scope due to glare of light on the eye.
anyone have a Vector scope that the illumination red dot blinks????

My 6-24ir works perfectly. Eye position is a little more sensitive than full size scopes but I still like it for the light weight.

I will not stoop to blackmail, I could not see the Reticle on low power , the red dot was blinking and I changed batteries in the unit with a brand new one. They want me to change my statement, They are saying its unfair feedback and they are with holding my refund.

That seems pretty messed up. I have one Vector scope that I like quite a bit, but I probably won't be getting any more.

OK got my refund back , I bought the scope on Amazon from MAGNA TECH , Amazon stepped in and said that the seller was in the wrong asking me to change my feed back...
