The moderator of my .257 Texan LSS gets very cold and wet

I'm noticing the stock moderator for my.257 LSS gets very cold and sweats alot. I'm shooting 100 rounds in a session.
I did notice my moa groups are getting wider at 200 yards the more I shoot.
Is the coldness and sweating a big concern?

Has anybody replaced their .257 LLS moderator with something like a DonnyFL?

What were the ambient temperatures and approximate relative humidity when you were shooting? Was the air in the tank still warm from filling or had it acclimated to ambient conditions? Initial fill and final fill pressures? Asking BC I'm an HVAC engineer IRL. The pressure drop may fall within the enthalpy ranges of the ASHRAE refrigerant tables for air (yes air can be a refrigerant under certain temperature and pressure conditions).

If the inside of your moderator contains any absorbant materials it could retain moisture that could linger and may cause corrosion/mold. I know the DFL mods have a felt wrap but the rest is aliminum and stainless steel (mesh). Regards

Another thing you could try is some "Armaflex" style refrigerant/water piping insulation.

Nominal 1/2" thickness should be plenty. It has a flat black smooth finish and is available in standard/nominal piping size diameters. Instead of tape you could use PVC or similar type cement.
