Got my Uragan 2 in .30 cal.

I was to receive this from Krale this last Monday but UPS screwed up so I spent a half hour talking and waiting on line with 5 different customer serves reps to square away the mess they had going on. It arrived early evening on Tuesday. I waited 2 months to the day on getting this pre ordered gun. Krale kept me well informed with updates....great buying experience.

Congratulations!!!

Now learn how to compensate at diverse distance and make your compensation distance card, so you act empirically and don't expect miracles.

Remember to confirm with a bubble level in the weaver rail that the vertical axle of the reticle of the scope concurr precisely with a cord with a plumb at 70 yards.

If you follow those steps you will have the must accurate rifle you can get.

Remember that above 140 yards the NSA 44 grain slugs are much better than the JSB pellets.

FL,
Congratulations was wondering why we hadn't heard anything. Did you have to pay the $66.99 Import Duty fee? Been e-mailing Krales since hearing of your impending delivery, was informed every U2 they get is immediately shipped out to cover pre-orders. Reminded them not listing the U2 on their website might cause visiting shoppers to move on, thinking item not sold by Krales. As of today, no U2s listed on website. Next e-mail was how to get on pre-order list. Reply was let them know what I wanted, pay when invoice arrives, then wait for delivery. So, for now, I wait. Let us know how loud the gun is, had to use a moderator on Uragan .25. Thanks, WM

The import fee total was $78.24. UPS made a mess of things so I had to call them and talked with 5 different customer reps for about a half hour. UPS in my book needs a lot folks that know what they should know to be a good delivery service. I was in contact with Krale customer service: which I thought was very good, about 9 weeks before getting my Uragan 2 with 1 week on me flip flopping on .25 or .30 cal.. I placed my order for the .30 cal. 8 weeks to the day of delivery.

FL,
Thanks, sounds strange but not sure if I've a long wait, or if they've shipped. Guess it's possible they had what I wanted from an initial delivery. Have a pre-order with Pyramyd Air for a JTS Airacuda Max, they won't charge credit card till shipment. Krales already charged card, figure I'll know in a couple of days, either way is OK. You never said what the UPS problem was, would be interested to know, unless it was a matter specific to you. Been looking for AGT (M14x1.25) moderators, only one is at Talon Tunes for $120. DonnyFL currently offline so search is on hold. Just got my Vector Veyron 6-24x44 from Optics Warehouse (UK), must have been last one, now listed as out of stock. WM

I called DonnyFL about 1 1/2 weeks ago for advice the the Uragan2 .30 cal. ; me wanting to keep guns overall length reasonable but with good sound reduction, Donny said the Ronni was his choice. It comes it came with M14x 1.25 threaded end.

Be aware Uragan 1 .. don't like heavy moderators, my 4 uragan worked best. With light n shor moderators like the ..DonnyFL fx model with custom m14x1.25 treads.. barrels are thin so if uragan 2 has the same thickness on the barrel you put a heavy ronin LDC..I bet it will be a useless gun..ask me how I know.

My Uragan is a compact 22. I didn't find the barrel to be thin, but the way the shroud attaches there is a lot of flex in it. Adding on the Uragan moderator to the end was enough to make it droop a little. Accuracy suffered with it on. I felt the shroud should have bottomed out on the receiver so it would have a second point of contact and stiffen it up, only design problem I personally have with it. I had a few nylon spacers lying around that were almost the same diameter of the shroud and found a drill bit to increase the nylon spacers hole enough for a snug fit around the barrel. Screwing the shroud on with it in place was night and day difference in the stiffness of the shroud. Adding on the Uragan moderator to the end introduced zero flex after the spacer installed. Accuracy came back with the moderator added to the shroud after the spacer was installed. I never took a picture of how far off the alignment was with the moderator on the shroud, but it was really bad, pellets were barely clearing the end cap. It is now nearly centered.

One other potential benefit with the spacer is you can lightly tension the barrel and play with it. I wouldn't tension it much at all, don't want a lot of force trying to pull the barrel out of the receiver, you may feel different. I don't know if the barrel is screwed in or held in by grub screws, if it is screwed in tension away, but I wouldn't do much if held in by grub screws. May help or not with consistency. If it makes a difference on yours, you will have to come up with a way to duplicate the same tension all the time. On my .22 it didn't make any difference at all that I could notice after trying just barely snugging it up to stiffen the shroud to adding some more force to tension the barrel slightly. I'm guessing AGT didn't change the way the shroud attaches with the updated version, with the threads being on the end of the barrel attaching to the removable internal monocore of the shroud which in turn screws into the business end of the shroud.

Awesome man..that was my solution to .. and it had worked flawless.. in my first post about almost selling my. 25 uragan.. I measured 3 barrel manufacturer.. LW in my airforce .. CZ in the crickets, and TJ .. the one installed in the uragans was the thinnest of all 4 .
