shim washers for tuning

how much FPE is a shim worth ? as in if i put 3 shims in back of a spring how much FPE do i gain ?
I realize this would depend on the original FPE , but a general idea would be helpful , Thanks

I have a hw97 and a vortek 12 fpe kit. Zero washers and it was 11 fpe maybe a touch less. 1 washer is 12.5 fpe and 2 washers it would not cock. With the one washer in it I have to cock it hard or the safety won’t engage.
