This is why I love my 300S

It finally rained here yesterday, the last decent one was 8/14. While it was nasty outside, I decided to get one of my 300's out for a little 10M practice in the shop. This rifle hasn't been shot since back in the spring, these are two five round groups with no warmup shots, 300S L.

I'm near Paducah, about ten minutes from the north end of LBL.

You would love it even more if you knew about the English testing of this gun in the late 70s…
John Carmichael produced the groups you made here, but at 60 yds and the previous years made the record for the greatest number of rabbits killed in one hour….a record that still holds…

My hat's off to anyone who can shoot a springer that well at 60 yards with aperture sights.

It was a good one running near 7ftlbs ….The tiny group was eventually bettered by a Theoben Rapid but the rabbit record it holds (incl. shotguns and rimfires) has never been equalled.
