I have been shooting the Texan .457 Carbine CF for a couple of years. Love it for stalking hogs in the thick stuff. But I decided that I wanted to maybe reach out a little further for stand and blind hunting, so I purchased a new, full-sized Texan .457 CF. Got it sighted in and over a chronograph today and I am only coming up with 855 fps with my 350 grain boat-tails by NSA. May carbine is in the 790s with this slug, so I was expecting a bit more than that out of the full-sized Texan. What are other people getting out of theirs? I have the hammer spring adjustment on full, if that matters.
