Benjamin P-Rod? Prod?

Thanks... but what is "rod" from "P-Rod"?
@Puppadore My thoughts are that the “-rod” in”Prod” speaks to the “-raud-” portion in Marauder. The -au in Marauder makes the same phonetic sound as the -o in Prod. Say them aloud and listen to yourself. As stated by others, the “p” denotes “pistol.” I understand when I see “Mrod” that it’s referring to a Marauder rifle as opposed “Prod” pistol. Simply using the word Marauder doesn’t specify one or the other in a question or conversation and can cause confusion. I don’t know where the temes originated, but that’s how I’ve managed to make sense of the them.

Thank you. I thought Rod has some sort of a meaning in air gunning world, but makes sense that it's just a shorter form or marauder
