Another Yong Heng Issue

Compressor has been working fine, but tonight, would not build pressure over 2000 psi. The head which usually gets extremely hot, is just warm to the touch. Any advise as to what may be the problem. No leaks that I could find. If there would be a leak would this be the cause of the head not getting hot.Temperature guage shows 50 degrees C. Normally at that temp. head is hot as I mentioned

Check the burst disk. If it's dented replace it.

You could have a bad - dirty- cracked reed valve. Look at @biohazardman repair posts he shows lots of details.

Let it build as high as it will, shut it off, soapy water on all joints and sealing surfaces and look for bubbles.

All the above! How many hours run time on it. If you have a lot of time on it, could be time to change out the
upper piston ring seals.

non-compatible oil can cause detonation and carbon deposits that will foul the valves. Recommend use oil designed for high pressure compressors.

Second stage high pressure piston, dont try and change the rings. Buy a whole assembly for 15 bucks. In fact buy 2, your going to need them if you run a lot!

Why not just change the seal rings? Why buy the whole assembly? I see the cost is not much more, but is that your

You cannot take off you need to cut them off but not to damage the grooves. Then in boiling water you resize the new pistons and try to mount back....I have also at least a dozen green rings and still went with replacing the entire second stage instead.

I have never cut the the sec stage piston seals off. Sorry I have no idea what you are talking about?

Because I tried to replace the rings and it is a bitch to do and you will just break the rings, the entire high pressure pist is 15 bucks ready to install.

Glad I have a Tuxing, no problem removing them, just slip them off & slip the new seals on.Takes about
a minute. 4 seals install.
