Giss System Rebuilds

Giss System rebuilds - I have a RWS/Diana 75 rifle and a RWS/Diana 6M pistol that both need to be rebuilt. These are from a friends estate. trying to determine what the cost is for someone to do it OR get the parts and do it myself OR move the two items as parts and let someone else undertake the rebuilds. His wife just wants to close out the estate, so it really is a cost benefit analysis for nest steps. I suspect that parts are available but most of my searching has uncovered posts that are several years old. Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated.

Kinda depends on you. They're a bit fiddly to rebuild. I've resealed all kinds of springers and pumpers but the Diana 6M I resealed this spring was a bit more complicated. Here's a link to a post I made after the reseal:

That topic has some links you may find useful. Have a look at Danny Garvin's site which has the parts breakdown as well some instructions for both the rifle and the pistol. Nick Carter's site has the usual amazing step by step information about how he resealed a 6M. Once you read through that information you should have some idea of whether you want to tackle the job. It's pretty satisfying to put a non-working Giss back together and have it shoot but in some ways I was pretty lucky with mine. There is someone who will rebuild them for you but I can't remember the name, I'm sure someone will chime in with that.

I had this Diana rebuilt by a retired gentleman who would not take any money. He did a beautyiful job, but wouldn't accept any money! I shot some ridiculous targets at 10M with it, but sold it because I didn't want to break it.

Mr SLade is great to work with. I sent a FWB 124 to him in Nov of 2020, more like early Dec when he got it. I knew the piston seal was gone. He ended up replacing the spring and I don't really know what. Anyway, he did some work then he and his wife got covid and were isolate so he could not ship it out and I asked him to hold it until after the holiday season shipping was over, no problem. Then the check I mailed took six weeks to get there, no idea why. I finally got the gun back in perfect condition in late Jan. Early this year I sent a Beeman(Diana) Original 6, one of the Giss system pistols. It's shooting great. I once sent each of these to Beemans years ago for rebuilds for the same problems and think he might have worked on them back in those days.
