PCP Rifle  NLA Want to trade my .22 cal 2022 Huben K-1 for a .025 Huben K-1

** Trade Pending **

I purchased a .22 cal Huben K-1 with synthetic stock from Kraz Cool airguns just a year ago. Put about 3 mags of pellets through it, didn't change the power settings, and it's been sitting in storage since then. I have a few other .22 cal airguns and decided that I'd like to trade my .22 cal Huben K-1 for a similar low-use synthetic stock K-1 in .25 caliber. I still have a dozen tins of .25 pellets from a break barrel I used to own and might as well use them up on something.

I also used to have a Huben K-1 with a wood stock for a year. The new wood stock was so nice that I was worried about scratching it. So I never actually shot the thing and finally sold it and got this synthetic stock model. However, if you have an unused .25 cal K-1 in a wood stock which you'd consider trading for a .22 cal K-1 with a synthetic stock, maybe for a few extra dollars to sweeten the deal, possibly we can work something out. I see K-1s come up in the classifieds fairly often, there's a decent deal on a .25 cal K-1 there now. But I'm trying very hard lately to move out 1 current airgun for every new airgun I buy so I'm trying for a trade on this one.

thanks for looking,

Jpiperson

EDgun  Edgun Leshiy 2 Won't Fold

Solved! Thanks to all. The solution: I took a wooden chopstick, turned the rifle upside down, positioned the chopstick tip at the very end of the hinge lever, and gave the stick a rap with my palm. I have no idea why this happened, but now the rifle opens and closes normally. Proud of myself that I did not stress the rifle in any way. This was the low-risk, no damage solution. Plus I lubricated it again, so it will be smoother than ever . . .

Can anybody recommend a good Edgun repair place, should I ever need it? One that is neither Edgun West nor affiliated with it, please.
Gents: I do want to keep a list of people I can trust to work on Edgun products (other than Edgun West). Is it possible to message me with any contact information, to keep in my back pocket? Thanks.

H&N Barracuda Hunter Extreme $8.82/200ct @Amazon

I actually bought two tins of H&N 30.86 gr 25 cal off Amazon to just test out. Amazingly they actually were in perfect shape and not destroyed. Will I purchase again from Amazon? Hell no…lol. My gun liked them so in the future I will order larger quantities from reputable sellers. Amazon is an utter crap shoot. Only good thing is it is easy to return their junk to them.

Nubie

Welcome. We are similar in age but I am blessed to be in good health. My only prescription is for Flonase for my sinuses and I take it so seldom the pharmacy usually doesn't still have the prescription when I need a refill. Not bragging, doctor may find something in my annual physical in December, just hasn't so far. I hand pumped at first too. I was 64 and was filling my Prod. It is a fun gun I still enjoy. I wouldn't use it on a hog but it has taken 15 squirrels for me so far. An Umarex Notos seems similar with a little more power and a regulator. Both are also light which I strongly prefer. My second PCP was a 25 caliber Avenger. It will shoot through a 3/4 inch plywood board so I think it would cleanly kill a hog with a shot to the brain from the side but I haven't tried it. I've seen it done on youtubes. But the Avenger convinced me I needed a compressor and I bought a Yong Heng. Later I added an expired SCBA tank and fill set. I could fill the Avenger with a hand pump but only did it to 300 bar once. It is just too much work for me to enjoy. But I could pump it to 3500 psi and get dozens of shots but it took some of the fun out of the experience. My favorite airguns are my 3 P35s. The Stoeger Bullshark is very similar and more available in the U. S.. They are light and short and two of mine are very accurate. The other one is accurate enough for squirrels, it's taken 18 for me so far. I have never hand pumped them but I'm sure I could and I will if the YH every breaks.

I would think hard about a "little" PCP about 20 ft. lbs in 22 that stores 100cc or less air and a cheap chinese hand pump (about $75). The Notos gets the most attention right now and seems like a good choice and is cheaper than the Benjamin Marauder Pistol (Prod). Probably get both for about $350. That would get you started and both are worth holding on to even if you later "graduate" to more powerful airguns. Like most things, when you go up in power, ft lbs, the air it takes goes up exponentially. If you are hand pumping, I think keeping the power down makes sense. If I still shot the Prod exclusively I might still be hand pumping. It takes about one pump on a hand pump per shot to fill the Prod. So maybe 30 to refill the gun. Much easier than the several hundred the Avenger required.

PCP Rifle  WTS Impact M3 25. 700 and Dreamline Walnut 25.

Unfortunately, college is quite pricey so I have to sell some stuff for now. I have an Impact M3 that’s had quite a bit done to it. 700m, 25 cal, superior heavy liner, an accu tac bipod, not sure which one, and then some internal stuff. Different grip on it as well. Not sure I want to sell the gold bipod. I Have an Athlon Ares on top but I think I’ll keep that. A bunch of 25. cal slugs, NSA and Zan. Then an FX Dreamline in 25. cal that I hardly ever got around to using and is still completely stock. It’s got an Athlon Argos BTR on top. If you’re interested in any of that feel free to shoot me an offer. If you would like any additional pictures or information just shoot me a pm. Looking for around 1200 for the dreamline with everything and something around 2400 for the impact with other items added.

FX  Wildcat decision

I'm surprised your moderator doesn't rub on the tank. My ronin is wider so there is no way of running a bottle beyond the end of the barrel. I'm thinking i can keep my 580cc if i go down to a 600mm but will a 480cc fit on the 500mm with my moderator or only a 300cc?
There are only a few moderators that will fit using the 500mm barrel and a 480cc or larger tank. The 0dB and the DonnyFL KOI and Tanto are the only ones I know of. Otherwise you have to use a 300cc tank.

BSA  Huma regulator Super10

im in New Zealand so FAC is fine; wanting to balance shot count and power as a .22 pest gun.
Mine was UK power so has the softer hammer spring, cant seem to find a FAC one around. previous owner fiddled it to high power, but the Huma should help consistency etc
I am in the US so fac was fine but I wanted the low power for close up work and for around delicate buildings. I found the springs for tuning at my local hardware store. Not sure how things are in New Zealand but if you have hardware stores or something similar I bet you can find the correct size spring and different spring rates for tuning.

Umarex  Glock 17 Gen 4 pellet or Gen 5 pellet

A bit of an old thread, but I now own both and can give a side by side comparison.

Overall, I'd say the Gen4 is the better gun. It's more realistic, more efficient, easier to load and has a far better trigger. The Gen4 functions very much like an actual Glock. You insert the magazine, rack the slide and once the magazine is empty the slide stays open until you release it. It's a little lighter than the real thing and the weight is more centered around the magazine rather than the slide, but it's quite close. The slide racks more easily than on an actual Glock, but it's still functional. Even field stripping it is almost identical. You get about 4 magazines of 18 BB's per CO2 cylinder and loading them is easy. The only thing I'll fault it for is accuracy. It shoots about minute of tin can at 7 yards or so. It's not terrible, but it's definitely not a tackdriver either. It's a full blowback pistol and recoil feels about like a .25 ACP and the trigger pull is very similar to an actual Glock.

The Gen5 is more accurate and seems to hit a little harder, but it's actually a double action trigger. The trigger pull is significantly longer and heavier than on the real deal. When you first get your magazines the trigger is incredibly stiff. Lubing the belt helps significantly, as does shooting it and manually advancing the belt. As it wears in it gets significantly better, but it's still a terrible trigger. Since the trigger is actually advancing the belt as you pull it anything you can do to reduce friction and drag on the belt also reduces trigger pull. I rubbed the entire belt down with moly grease and that helped a lot. I also use a small stick or ballpoint pen to seat the pellets in the belt so that they do not rub and cause drag. You get 21 shots per magazine and you need to count them or you'll end up dry firing and wasting CO2. There is no last round bolt hold open and racking the slide does not chamber a round. It also does not field strip like a Glock. The Gen5 is heavier than the Gen4 and it's weight distribution is more correct. The first couple of shots from it deliver a surprising kick and report, but if you continue to shoot it quickly it will kick and bark less with every shot. Give it 30 seconds in between shots and it will be more consistent. The Gen4 seems to be much more consistent. Accuracy is about minute of can at 15-20 yards if you can control the trigger and you'll get just over 2 magazines of pellets per CO2 cylinder. Loading the magazines is also more difficult and time consuming than with the Gen4.

Overall, they're both decent guns, but I feel that the Gen4 is just the more useful of the two. It's function is close enough to that of an actual Glock to make it an excellent training aid.
