We had to have our October match on the 30th of September because the FOML range was not available on October 1st. The temperature was in the 70's and the wind was light but very squirrely. Our next match will be on November 4th and I expect it will be quite a bit cooler, maybe downright cold.

Been looking on and off for 2 maybe 3 years for this piece. Could not find it anywhere. My whole rifle fell one day on the end of my scope upside down, and damaged the anti-glare device on it. Bent it all out of whack. Scope never looked right without it. Plus it helps to not spook game. Finally found one, but had to use a shipping service since the retailer only ships to the UK. Not bad all in all. I've used this service before for other airgun bits. Would recommend.

The jury is still out on how I feel about this energy level--I do like how the ATP Smooths are largely unbothered by the winds I see here, which are mostly swirling and unpredictable but >80fpe can become a bit tiring. I only have a 100 yard range so it's really a bit overkill. Soon I will drop down to .22 and do some testing there.

I found some bits and pieces in my spares bin to lower the buttplate a bit, this seems to be a bit more comfortable to shoot. I'll test this for a while and see if this is any closer to the feel I am looking for. No Taipan parts were harmed in the process, it is fully reversible.

Leaving it cocked overnight won’t hurt it. You could decock it by simply holding the lever while fully back and depressing the trigger. You should feel the sear disengage, then gently close the lever. Congratulations on your first PCP.

Not necessarily are parts from Anschutz unavailable after 5 years. About 5 years ago a buddy bought a used Anschutz 2002 SSP. After shooting we realized the velocity was all over the place. We assumed it was the valve. Looking around for a valve we discovered they weren’t available anymore. Out of desperation we emailed Anschutz in Germany. They sent a valve. When replacing the valve we figured out it wasn’t the valve but the receiver was cracked. At this point we thought we were screwed as this rifle went out of production around 1990 and it’s 2019. With nothing to loose we emailed Anschutz Germany again. They replied back that they had the part and it was on its way. For both parts they gave a price but asked for no money until the part was received and we were satisfied.

Though I was really impressed with Anschutz Germany having the parts to get the rifle going again I would by a FWB 600 series SSP rifle. The Anschutz has a cast metal receiver and was a pain to work on.

IMO, the old GI web sling is the best there is. I used the leather national match sling (M1907) when I was shooting service rifle. I will admit that it may be better, assuming the shooter is properly slung with it and using a shooting jacket. But it's a pain for casual shooting, and new shooters will acclimate to the web sling much faster. What type of air rifle will you be using in the class?

Basically brand new Cricket 2 in .30. Green camo laminate. It has one noticeable scratch in the shroud but functions flawlessly. Paperwork and original box from AOA two mags, fill probe, extra o rings included. The date on the paperwork is 9/19 of this year probably received gun 3-4 days later. $1400 shipped. No trades. Still searching for my ultimate hunting setup. This one needs to go.

All you need is a jumbo or dazzle drop block and a bottle. Cut the stock to fit.

This one had an altaros regulator and 350cc bottle. Np02 barrel, air stripper, and 3 baffles. Made it just quiet enough for backyard shooting, and had a 1/2 UNF for more.

Selling my brand new hugget belita silver swirl in .22 cal. Literally only 3 shots through it, no blemishes whatsoever and works beautifully and looks even better!
