Advise needed - Webley Senior or Premier?

The Senior does not respond so well to the usual polishing method of improving triggers due to its components being well finished in the first place, unlike say that of a Crosman medalist decidedly rough finish being improved to a mirror. The Senior going from well finished machining to a polished finish perhaps giving a few ounces improvement..

Sheridan  Sheridan storage

To expand on previous post about how my Dad was not keeping a few pumps in gun. It made me realize that I haven't seen his gun in a while and not sure how he stored it since he shot it last and before he passed away in 2015 I went down to parents house and dug into the gun safe to find it. Not surprised but sad that I found the gun in poor condition and not holding any air. I took it home with me last weekend and got online to find and order me a repair kit. As I was doing that I also looked up any Youtube vids showing me how to do such repair as I have never done it before. As I searched I came apon a video showing a process called alcohol flush. So i figured WTH I can't break it anymore than it is now, so I'll give it a try. Followed closely to instructed in video lbut not exactly and let it soak for day. Picked it up next day and tried cocking it and all kinds of black sludge came pooring out. Luckily I was in my garage and it spilled on mats as that was some nasty stuff and left some good stains. Gun still would not hold air, so I tried again with a good soak and waited a day. Viola to my surprise after another gush of gunk coming out it was cocking and holding air. I have dry fired it now atleast 20 times and I am still getting nothing but black gunk coming out. I guess I shouldn't be surprised on build up of dirt, oil and lead can do to a gun that is almost 50 years old. Anyways sorry for the long post but this actually worked and thought I would share. I do have reseal kits on the way whenever either mine or pops 342 decides to poop the bed again.
P.S. now that it functions I am going to go ahead and refinish the stock with some Truoil as I did with my gun recently.

With world war 3 heating up

Not what I said but yes that is really all you need. I actually mainly listen to a variety of podcasts. I just hope people when they vote are informed and not by Facebook, instagram, TikTok etc. The things most of our younger generation are on constantly which leads them to vote ways because certain idiot influencers do. I have no problem with anyone voting any way as long as they know what they are voting for. Again sticking your head in the sand isn’t the answer.

.22cal 18gr Pellet Comparison Test for 3 Brands

Some pretty fine groups there.

Thanks Ross.

As we all know, shooting 5-shot groups from a 50Y Benchrest table with no wind is easy. Same POA for all five shots, so not much skill compared to shooting for score.

But, it is encouraging that under little/no wind conditions the JTS 18g shot pretty well in both rifles. My guess is that in a 2-4 mph wind, the average could inflate to 3/4” or a bit more, since you are not holding for wind with same POA.

Frankly, I was pretty shocked the .22 Revere shot sub MOA groups at 50 yards. Prior to this testing, I convinced myself that it was a 30-40 yard gun primarily.

Pleasantly surprised, because it also shot the JSB 15.89 pretty solid at 50y too.

What is your favorite caliber and airgun for deer hunting and what do you like best about it?

@Chief55 I like the Benjamin Bulldog. I have only shot iterations of the .357 Bulldog. It’s easy to use, shoots a variety of projectiles, can be sent to various shops for power tuning and modification to increase the output (muzzle energy). The latest iteration, the Benjamin M357 (m for Magnum) has been good to go out of the box for me. I have not taken a deer with this gun this season, it is more than capable Meeting the legal requirements for hunting whitetail in Texas with an airgun. I’ve have several posts and a few threads on these air rifles. To answer your question, I like the .357 Bulldog because it’s easy to use, easy to maintain, has a good support network in the USA and on airgun forums, the platform has proven reliable for me, it is affordable, most ammo I’ve used isn’t too expensive, and it does most of what I want it to do.

This type of question has been asked quite a lot on AGN, around the beginning of or during deer season. You can find plenty of other posts on hunting whitetails by conducting a simple AGN search. An example is the linked thread below

Man I sure wish I would get detail information like this instead of having you harass me Great post for this guy

@froshtin743 Welcome to AGN. Take a look at the linked thread below. It contains useful information that may help you in your search for a reliable PCP for target shooting.

PCP Pistol  NLA HUBEN GK1 .25

I’m putting my GK1 .25 up for sale. I know it’s hard to get these and that’s why I’m asking $1250 for it. I’ll include the shipping for free at that price.
I just got it in for review and I’ve done a few videos with it. It shoots awesome. It’s basically brand new still.

Most overrated rifle...in your opinion?

The whole FX lineup. Overpriced for what you get. Its the hype and the advertising that sold so many. There is alot of air rifles out there with just as good as quality if not more and don't receive enough recognition or sales.

Amen. The original FX lineup was great for its time (5-10 years ago)...but for all the advancements made since then, they could have done a lot more improvement, while becoming more economical and accessible to the average air gunner. The premium you pay is for the brand, not for their quality, craftsmanship or innovation, but of course they are marketed as such.

How about they innovate their production to be more economical? EH? If Tesla can make their brand accessible to the average joe at a market median price, so can FX or the like.

The entire high-end 1500$+ airgun market is over-hyped imo. No airgun should cost more than 699$ (arbitrarily chosen) in today's market, the markups are insane. 1500$+ guns should come fully accessorized and scoped with premium glass, moderator ect.

Truth is that end of the market targets very specific individuals, generally retired with plenty of liquid cash they'd like to part with, and of course sponsored competitors..

For 2k~ I would expect a custom gun fully tailored to me, from butt stock to muzzle, not a production rifle that often has its parts sourced from China and assembled in house.

Whittington Center

Not sure how that thread applies. It seems the last page is mostly a boasting contest and remarks about some guy named Charles who was apparently a cheater.
If you ignore the boasting, it was the same idea to host Nats at the Whittington Center. You can see the end result; this thread will end the same.
