HW/Weihrauch  HW80k

IIRC the gun was originally built in 92 or 93. It came with a long 177 barrel. Hated that gun in 177. Too harsh.

The barrel in the picture was a new 20 cal 80 K barrel with a Straight Shooters muzzle end. That barrel was low on power. Weihrauch replaced it but because of local availability it was replaced with a new long 20 cal barrel.

Looking for more energy and pellet choices that barrel has been swapped for new long 22 barrel. It's the least harsh in 22, so it will stay that way unless I ever decide to sell it.

It does make more power in 22 but like other Weihrauch 22s I've tested it only gets more energy and acceptable accuracy from one pellet, H&N FTTs. So oddly I had more pellet choices in 20.

Oh well. I much prefer my 95 family guns. They only make 2 maybe 3 fpe less but are lighter and more enjoyable for me to shoot.
"So oddly I had more pellet choices in 20."

lol,.....ain't that the way it goes.

Brocock/BRK  It appears our house is haunted with 👻's

What a great friend you are taking one for the team Gerry, but “we” have an understanding. The 👻’s only coming inside the house when invited in. They are allowed to ride in the car to the range and back for a treat….otherwise they are very happy in their cabinet in the garage….

Airforce  Copper rounds

Powder coating is a safe alternative for a barrier between the steel barrel and lead slug...Easy cheap effective...
True but that’s not the main reason for using copper bullets like a solid copper expanding hollow point, the main reason is so you don’t have to use lead, I’ve seen a study that showed small tiny microscopic particles of lead fly up to 8 inches in every direction in the wound cavity depending on the caliber and speed.

Beeman  New P3

Disregard my initial comments about fiber optic sights. Tried the red dot today and the pistol is accurate with every pellet I have, no matter how hard or light I hold it. I think the fiber optics were so bright they distorted the image of the target POA I was trying to aim at. Unbelievable how accurate this puppy truly is.
I bought a P3 in October and have intermittent eyesight problems (age related). The fiber optic sights, which I really like, can glow brilliantly and sharply—or not—depending on angle of the sun. I don’t know if it only bothers people with cataracts etc, or if it also affects those with excellent vision.

The grip is fairly large in my hands, so I have to be meticulous about where the support hand’s fingers wrap as well as how firmly.

The trigger is so nice that it will spoil me for anything less.
