Sights on your guns

On my practical/pesting airgun (Leshiy 2) I usually have a thermal scope on it, for night-time pesting. When I take it to the range to use with my son it'll either have a red dot or iron sights.

I have two Crosman P1322s, one is set up as a pistol with a laser pointer (one where the beam width is adjustable) and the other is as a carbine . . . and right now it doesn't have any aiming device on it. I suppose I haven't used that one in some time.

JTS  Airacuda max 22 slugs at 100yds

Normally we shoot at 50 and 100 meters. Lately I've been training mainly with my Sinner for the last 100 meter match. Now I also won a Panthera in a lottery and I have to get back to work on it. As soon as I continue with the JTS, I will report. I have to many rifles:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:.
Sounds like a good problem to have.

Events  PSA - Indoor Field Target - December 10, 2023 - Palmyra, PA

Palmyra Sportsmen's Association (near Hershey, PA) - Indoor Field Target - Sunday, December 10, 2023.

Targets are placed at ranges between 10 yards and 22 yards. This event is a great way to get introduced to field target, have fun, or practice for the upcoming outdoor season.

Targets will be set to an AAFTA legal difficulty for standing position shots. If you are an experienced FT shooter, we encourage you to shoot the entire course standing. You are not required to shoot the standing position, there are no position restrictions for this event, shoot whatever positions you feel comfortable.

Since the targets are not placed at long distances, this event provides an opportunity to use guns more suited to shorter distances. You may consider shooting a multi-pump pellet gun (no BBs), pistols, or guns that shoot at lower energy levels than required for the outdoor game.

The course is 5 lanes with two targets per lane, 2 shots per target. Courses are set using rifle difficulty, but you can shoot with pistol.

Guns must not exceed 20 fpe (foot-pounds of energy) at the muzzle.

This event is held in our clubhouse on our indoor rifle range. We will be open for sign-ups between 9AM and 1PM. Cost is $5 per round, you can re-enter as many times as time allows.

Thinking about showing up to this one. I’ll have the Crosman FT Challenger on hand with a bunch of new Benjamin single die pellets as well. Also future endeavors that Airgun Revisions will be bringing to the FT community.
I’m only an hour away.

N/A  Whats everyones prefered tool/method for honing/de-burring a main tube?

I too

I've been doing the cleaning rod in the drill thing thing with 600grit sandpaper and then 1500grit and then 14000grit stropping compound. Got the job done and got it done real nice, but is a major pain.
My understanding has been you don't want to go too polished on the compression tube because moly paste needs something to adhere to. I do go finer on the piston and spring ends but never anything finer than 1500.

Slugs behavior, any one have an explanation?

I can understand the 13 and 25gr pellets not shooting well. But the 18 grain pellets should have done well. If you tried them in the 850 to 930fps range and they sucked, then you definitely have a gun problem. I had a .25 Krait and it shot several pellets pretty good. But it shot only one pellet great. I would think the 18.1 would have the best chance of being the great pellet. You needing hammer weight is another thing that baffles me. How come nobody else needs it to shoot over 135b? I had no trouble cracking the valve with my Krait at 140b and had plenty of hammer spring left to go. Maybe you just got a bum gun. I know I did. Got rid of it.

Yup the 18s are the best and i had no doubt that it would shoot them accuratly, but what a curved ball! my chinese springer, Airforce condor "factory" and "Airforce home made" shot all of these pellets wonderfully! i was shocked when i used them in the Krait and it sucked big time! i even tried them on even shorter distance about 16yrds and couldn't manage to land them in the same hole! it boggeled me a lot! and about the hammer, even the dealer was telling me if i crancked the spring all the way in, the speeds will drop and 150b is the max pressure i could run it on! i was stupid to not walk away from it at that time! but "the stupid me" was like " i can do it and make this gun shoots like a champ! 🤦‍♂️ well! it came back to bite me! 🤣

and to tell you the truth, it kept me in circles trying to figure it out! so, for now with hammer mod i'm so pleased with it, cuz i cracked one issue and have the speeds going solid like that.

one down for now! 😅 and i'm going after the rest!

also, on the other hand i can't sell it as is! i won't do it for anyone .. if i couldn't fix it, i might transform it to be a spear gun! 🤣🤣🤣

i have those barrel blanks laying around. so they might be the answer for my prayers! 🤷‍♂️

N/A  Stoeger S8000E w Scope on sale today only at PA

I am a new member. My only toys are 40+ yr old springers. Happened across the 8000 and did not want to go PCS and this was designed by Bertta. Was a national match shooter for years. Too old to lie in the mud and pull targets in the trenches. So wanted to experience the gas piston. Scope was amazing considering the price range of the air rifle. What I notice is the very different recoil experience when compared to a center firerifle. For now indoor 50 foot range with standard pellots .. it certainly is not anywhere close to my Diana 75, however, I believe the accuracy is acceptable. Not experimented with various weights. Beretta did a good job. Only issue is the trigger, and I will keep it stock. It has a smooth but certainly heavier trigger than a match M1A.
