EDgun  Leshiy classic problems

UPDATE:
Here are links to three geat videos on maintenance and disassembly of the Leshiy classic by Ed himself, the inventor. YouTube says that they are unlisted. I bookmarked them a long time ago. I guess the only way to find them now is to have someone give you the links.

Feinwerk
Thank you Sir. as well lol . :coffee:

Skout  So much happier now .... SKOUT Epoch is now .22 caliber !!!!

clever him is
The mag design appears unchanged from the .30 still using a contact shelf against the pellet at full length ( head & skirt ) and whatever amount of pre-tension you wish to use. 30 shots in .22 cal is really nice, but as we know the cumulative weight/mass of 30 and declining as used 18++ grain pellets is a fair bit.
* Only mod I plan to do will be the same as the .30 cal mags which had skirts hanging up when mag is cycling with a muzzle elevated position.
Can't see the .22 being any different with the skirts able to slide rearward against the cover plate.

Not saying an issue exists  just going to make sure and modify with the glued in o-ring keeping skirts off the cover and not hanging on the cover tab recess's being the length mag allows is in excess of length of projectiles one may shoot in .22 caliber.

Pic below is the .30 cal issue, hung up pellet is @ 10 o'clock having skirt hanging in corner of tab recess preventing cassette rotation.
Fix was gluing in a cut o-ring so cassette can still rotate but pellet skirts are kept inward the thickness of the o-ring and therefor can't hang up.

Daystate  Delta/Alpha Wolf PSA

Not as good as I hoped but better than expected. Off-hand went poorly and I didn't trust the scope a couple of times when I should have. And I didn't stop and reset on a couple of targets when I wasn't feeling it. On the other hand, the gun bailed me out a couple of times on poor shots.
But it was a good time and some great BBQ afterwards. OKC puts on a good match, worth the 3.5 hour drive.

2ed chance pellets ? 🤔

You could try to repair skirts provided they are only a little bent and not wrecked, as @oledawg posted a nice video on a how too earlier. Some even use the head of another pellet for this task.

Ya, there pretty mangled , the slight one ate a go.. the selects got shot the culls in the lead bucket .. ( I can only stoop so low..👍)

Lead-free HUNTING pellets/slugs?

Leadfree H&N is probably the best you can do right now unfortunately. Due to the light weight they are not good at longer distances like 50 yards or more but up close they pack a punch with their higher speed. Upside of that is they are safer in more confined areas.

Hope with EU lead ban we get more options soon.

PCP Rifle  FOUND AEA Challenger Pro

I just missed a nice deal on AEA Challenger Pro in .22 for $350, so I'll give it a try in WTB section. I would really like to try it out, If you have one that doesn’t get any use just sitting there collecting dust that you don’t really need any longer, please let me know. I would prefer to get in .25 caliber, but will consider other calibers as well. If the price is right, we can do business ;). Thank you AGN!!!

Great Shooting at AAFTA Field Target Nationals

The AAFTA Field Target Nationals took place last weekend under some damp and less than desirable conditions.

Bill Rabbitt led the Hunter division both days and came away with the win and the High Overall score for the match of 112/120.

Greg Sauve also led wire to wire in WFTF and racked up his 8th National championship with a 110/120.

Zachary Loesser took first in the Limited Pistol division with a very solid 36/40.

These guys are dedicated individuals that put in the work it takes to be at the top of the sport. I thank them for their tremendous effort and also for relying on Thomas Air rifles to support their relentless quest to be the best.
