Is shipping airguns to Puerto Rico legal?

Our post master told me that even a rifle or shotgun can be shipped through USPS. Not pistols or ammunition but rifles and shotguns. I know there's a lot of discrepancies that happen between different PO but I think it's more PO workers not knowing the rules or fudging the rules due to their beliefs.

PCP Rifle  NLA AEA SF 30 cal semi-auto pistol carbine 4 magazines & 2 tins pellets $425 shipped

*SOLD*

I purchased this AEA SF semi-auto 30 cal pistol/carbine new last year. Shot a few magazines at some paper targets and it works very well. It has a large, regulated air cylinder under the barrel. The compact size and folding rear stock makes it easy to transport or store. The stock can be easily detached, allowing the airgun used as a large pistol. It includes a couple of magazines and a fill probe and original box as shown in the pictures.

If you are not familiar with the AEA SF (select-fire) model series, it's easy to find extensive reviews. I'd originally planned to keep it, along with a 22 cal AEA which I bought at the same time and am also selling now. The AEA is a nice piece of engineering with good power for its size. But my L2 got back from repair recently and a GK1 finally arrived, so I really don't have a need for this 30 cal AEA SF one anymore.

Like many of the folks on this forum, sometimes I purchase airguns out of curiosity, to see how they compare to other airguns I've had. And over the years I've ended up selling the majority of them within a couple of years of purchase, usually with little added use other than some shots over crony or paper targets. This is one of those.

The current retail price for one of these is about $750. I only shot a few magazines of pellets shot through it when I got it, and it's been in the original shipping box since then.

I've seen some other hardly used AEA SF semi-auto 30 cal airguns come up for sale recently. It's an effective design for a compact and the large air tank's adjustable regulator pressure provides very good shot consistency at different power levels. I'm not sure why other people would be selling theirs. Maybe it was their only 30 cal airgun and everything else they have is in 22 or something like that. This was my only 30 cal so I'm including my remaining pellets with it.

The asking price is $425 shipped CONUS, for the items shown in the attached pictures. It includes a couple of extra 30 cal magazines and a couple of tins of almost full 30 cal pellets which are probably worth another $75 by themselves. This is a very good deal for an almost new 30 cal AEA SF in the box. A new 30 cal Leshiy 2 with a 250mm barrel costs over 5x as much as buying this AEA SF 30 cal semi-auto airgun. You could buy a wheel barrel full of 30 cal pellets for the cost difference between the two airguns.

If you decide that you want to purchase it, just send me a note offering to buy and I'll send you my PayPal address if it's still available.

Thanks for looking.

N/A  Cayden, Kratos or Avenger for first PCP?

Interesting, read plenty of posts with people using it out to 100 with no issues. I guess we will see, shop I'm getting it from is going to test it out see which pellet size it's is happy with. Was doing some reading about barrel sizes/quality, few folks said 5.555 pellets worked the best on the Turkish barrels. Not many options in that size.22 pellet. I'll buy another rifle if I go to.25. Enjoy the day!

Yes, I think they're not worth it. In Germany they seem to find much attention as well as even heavier monster pellets. But German airgunning is silly anyway. They run Barracudas throiugh a naturally stroked HW 80 @ 0.25" and 5.5 ftlbs. feeling fine. I'd prefer to throw stones instead.
Only to avoid supersonic in super powerful airguns they make sense. But in this case a bigger caliber does better

Steyr Challenge Hunting for FT

Hi Stephan, I did use this gun in a couple matches last year and it shot really well. My hesitation to use it more often is it only gets about 45 shots before needing a refill. That involves carrying either a spare air tube or my mini wingman air tank. Hard to beat the convenience and accuracy of my Royales. I'm planning to shoot my Royale Elite at the ROT in April.
I have a 700cc bottle that could top this off
I may also be looking to a 12 ft/lb gun.
thanks for the input

I purchased this AEA SS semi-auto 22 cal pistol/carbine new last year. Shot a few magazines at some paper targets and it works very well. Hunter Class rules are just right

Well, I think the facts can speak for themselves now. Hunter class has grown to be the dominate class in both numbers of contestants and ability to shoot the highest overall score in the race for the Grand Prix winners circle. Look how tight it was at the top and how all the classes were fighting for the overall win... well done!

I think we need to give some much deserved credit to our AAFTA BoG for getting it right this time... and holding off on changing again after the correct change to 16X allowance for scopes.

Thanks to the Board of Governors!

Other  Late 50's/early 60's Slavia 618 piston and breech seals?

so i said i looked for a newer 618 piston and came up empty
now the video shows the piston stem broken off and the center of the stem looked very poor material wise
and if the post was pressed on front to back which would make sense, if you cut the front off then how is held together
so if you kept the post in front and epoxied the adapter on for a modern seal would that work
i concern is cutting the front stem off flush and drilling and tapping and it's ability to stay in the piston
the breech seal can be found or even made out leather but the piston seal is the problem
the normal size for the screw in those adapters is in the 4-5mm size range
maybe cut the front stem down on a lathe but keep some of the full-size part intact, i don't know

the problem i have is i don't know how the complete piston was made, how all the part interact with each other but welding them together could also be a way to do it

only if it was easy

looking a little more, is the piston rod screwed into the front of the piston
in the video at 3:22 he shows the broken off stem and the fracture is only in the center, now if you look at this picture enlarged there seems to be a gap at the front of the rod
just guessing at this point
could the piston seal been split to slid on the head when new, the cylinder would have held it together

RAW Rapid  RAW TM1000 Cheek Riser pin?

Could fabricate some I’m sure.
Thanks. Let me get some specs and I’ll follow up in PM’s.

I need to figure out how they are attached up in there, so I don’t mess something up! I saw that the Red Wolf pins are screwed in, but I think I remember seeing glue residue on these.

FX  FX Torque Specs?

Or, maybe an IQ above 50? But seriously they aren't all that hard if you spend $50 on enough o-rings to rebuild it 20 times and take your time with some simple tools. THE hardest thing is the regulator there are two o-rings that are a bear to install without a very special tool, the secret is, to boil them the then install, much easier.

Clearly I struck a nerve....You think a 55 IQ person could disassemble and reassemble FX impact's Ikea furniture on their own? k. Learn to take a joke.

What age were you?

For my birthday when I was 9 dad gave me a Sheridan Silver Streak (20 cal)
He said at the time "I want you to have a real gun not just a BB gun."

It was the only birthday party I ever had that I got to invite friends to.
Dad made a target so we could shoot in the hallway of the basement (length of the house).
That day everyone was shooting in the basement and all my buddy’s were talking about the "real gun".

I never got to run around the neighborhood toting the gun like the other guys did with their BB guns but in college that gun put rabbit in the pot.
(Used to shoot them out of my dorm room on weekends when i didn’t have a meal plan.)

I still take cottontails at least once a year with it.
