Norica  Norica Viriatus Regulator

Don't drill your air tank...the regulator does need to breathe to atmosphere but it should be fine from factory, otherwise send it back.

The more likely scenario (the above could be possible just very unlikely and if so at fault of the manufacturer), is that the regulator is in bypass mode, resulting in full HPA pressure being present at the valve at all times.

You bought a pcp with very little support. It's a beautiful gun and a shame it's not working as it should.

I'd send it back to the place of purchase if you're not capable of tearing down and diagnosing the issue yourself.

That would mean inspecting the regulator, potentially measuring, ordering and replacing the o-rings, or adjusting it if its just out of adjustment, as well as verifying the regulator has access to atmospheric air, which would require a factory placed hole in the air tube located where the regulators breathe hole is. Could be as simple as that passage way being clogged/blocked by some machining contaminate or the like.

Thank you so much Matt for your reply!

Unfortunately returning it is not possible! So I will try to diagnose it myself and will do the steps you mentioned hopefully to find where the issue is!

N/A  Other Kinds Of Rifles

I have the HW45 Black Star and the HW75, both in .177. I have more rounds through the HW45, it is good enough to hit cans up to 30 yards if I do everything right. It is simply more fun to shoot than the HW75.

View attachment 399326

However, the HW75 is a much more accurate pistol. It is a bit boring to shoot compared to the HW45. Does best at 10 meters in doors. A little under powered for outdoor cans but can be done.

The Goldilocks of the HW pistol line is the HW70 Black Arrow. The HW30 of the pistol line up. This pistol, a tin of pellets and some soup cans is all you need out to 30 yards. I have managed to hit a coffee can at 80 yards a time or two when the wind cooperates. Loves the JSB RS or H&N Terminators

I like to shoot 25 cal airsoft pellets at 25 yards with my HW 75.
Can't do that with an HW45.
I did shoot a 35MM film contaner at 100 feet with my P1. I stood there, got a good two hand grip, aimed, and shot that thing offhand, and scored a great luck shot. Lol

Xero C1 Pro Chronograph

Maybe Red wolf should have this built into the electronics package on board ?
Id love the capabilities of an alpha wolf with a redwolf style stock. I tend to like traditional rifles over bullpups even though i had a ghost. It would be awesome to have an onboard chrono and changing settings on the fly like the alpha.

BSA  Mercury Challenger

Makes them a little challenging to work on. And the trigger guard is cast into the back block. They did it that way about 40 years beginning in 1948 with the Mk1 Airsporter. Cast "aluminium" as they say and the paint is usually scratched up. I repainted this one. You won't get a finish like that with a rattle can.

I am forever critical of the raised scope rails BSA ruined their later guns with. Mounting a scope puts it much too high unless you have a really fat punkin head. I don't. The curved back block on the Mercury and Airsporters tends to require the scope to be mounted too far forward as well.
Nicely finished. 👍Thanks for showing. Crow

Benjamin  Indexed transfer port adjuster for the Akela?

Seneca Aspen, same gun. Never read about other sources for pump parts, but did read about using double o-rings to replace the o-sleeve that disintegrated and caused many other problems.

ANYWAY, now that is out of the way, back to the original purpose of this thread!!!!

Indexed transfer port adjuster for the Akela?

The Akela transfer port adjuster is a joke, a bad joke.

There is no way to be sure you have it set to any position and have it stay there unless it is fully open or fully closed. And it tends to leak if you adjust it at all!

Does anyone make a replacement that is INDEXED and doesn't leak ? I don't even need it to have a lot of indexed adjustments, 2 would be fine. High and low.

3 would be better, but then I digress.

Does such a thing even exist?

Thanks! My last post today as I am exhausted... especially waiting for AGN to accept my posts! (heavy sigh)

I can browse AGN quite easily as long as I don't log in... (heavier sigh)

Kerry
if you send me pictures of it and possibly disassemble it and picture I can probably give you a solution.. but I don't know what it looks like inside since mine is just high low.. might be as simple as a o ring under the knob for tension.

FX  M3 Javelin 40gr can't find tune

Yes, a good accurate tune is a good accurate tune no matter how you hold the gun. Just like a scattergun tune will always be a scattergun no matter how perfect you hold the gun. But I do believe when you are looking for that last couple percent on paper, you have to test different holds. The question is are we doing it for accuracy or consistency? But on the other side of the coin is if you have to have everything just right for your gun to be accurate, you better not hunt with it. All airguns are hold sensitive to a point because of the hammer system and how long it takes for the projectile to leave the barrel after we squeeze the trigger.

Umarex  Looking for Polyurethane sheets, 2mm thick and 90A durometer for CO2 seals

to tell you the truth Teflon has never been tries by myself
when the 850 forum was up and running the point of using urethane seals was hammered into us and has been my opinion from that point on
It works fine. I've personally used it and my compressor even uses it as a seal against brass from the bleed valve. It doesn't need cranked down on so it doesn't deform as suggested.

Fx barrel made of all carbon fiber

McLeod

Hatsan  Great deal on HatsanUSA Flash QE tomorrow at 4pm.

I bought a Hatsan Flash refurb for $160 about 3 years ago.
I had to send it twice back to Hatsan, and then finally sold it.
It may be OK if you want a cheap hunting gun that can shoot 1-2 magazines at acceptable spread.

Hatsan Flash for $230 in 2023, what are they smoking?
Buy a Notos, Avenger, DAR, Airacuda, or almost anything else.
