Airgun Technologies  Anyone using a tripod saddle mount with a Uragan?

I have a RRS clamp for my Manfrotto 055 and I've used it for my Vulcan as well as most of my other airguns. One is a Uragan King but it isn't suited in a clamp as is due to the double bottles.

This RRS clamp is okay but the rubber on the clamping surface makes it flex a tiny bit in the clamp, also this tripod isn't all that stable either in spite of its quality, rather I think it's because of it's load rating.

Which is the opposite of this Fat Bot 42mm and leveling head. Only about 1/4" of wobble at 100Y with me holding the gun getting ready to take a shot. The best money I've spent on a product in years. I highly suggest going with a ARCA or Picatinny head of some kind to avoid that spongy feeling when clamped.

Here's the Fat Boy. I wanted a tripod and head like this for a decade but didn't want to spend RRS money and this set up was what I envisioned both price wise and quality wise. I paid almost half what the RRS equivalent would have been.

N50 Targets?

Yes the .org site was made for us by old friend & fellow shooter. He got really sick and past without making a hand-off or site transfer. He was one of the good guys and he’s missed. We know It’s confusing.
Very sorry to hear that. I will be ordering after Christmas, thanks.

Central Pa Airgun Match Results 12/26/23

Benchrest Match rules for every type of airgun across this entire country are based on the following standards of what is allowed:
1. Caliber
2. FPE
3. Type of rest
4. Total weight of rifle and rest system

PCP specific:
1. Is compressed air available or must you bring your own
2. Is tethering allowed.

So I will step up and do the work:

1. Calibers allowed: .177, .22, & .25
2. FPE < 30
3. Rests: All types are allowed
4. Total weight: < 50 lbs (lite folding tables not actual shooting benchs are being used, as such, leave your rail gun with the 60 lb base at home)
5. Bring your own air supply
6. No tethering

Classifications for scoring will be by type of rifle ( Springer, SSN, PCP etc), and caliber, and type of rest (Rail, Single Piece, 2 piece with bags, 2 piece mechanical, bipod & bag, bipod solo).

Work is done! Let's rock!

Shoebox cooling radiator continued from "Shoebox Compressor Parts" Thread ***(UPDATE 10/7/24)***

Update.

I have upgraded the small aquarium pump to a 120GPH rate to pump ice water through my small radiator on the Box.
This seems to work better than anticipated.
I also left the front cover completely closed and the results were much cooler than previously taken.
When leaving the front cover off of the Box, it cools okay, by closing the cover completely, it seems to hold the cool air inside for a longer period and cools even better.
My latest session was yesterday afternoon in 27% humidity conditions, at 95° temperature weather. Leaving the front closed produced a temperature at the large cylinder (generates more heat than the small cylinder) of a mere 100°. Much lower than previously experienced.
This with a new motor belt gear with 15 teeth instead of the 13 tooth original gear, faster, yet much slower than the F-10 21 tooth belt gear (that one is actually scary fast). I also will try an 18 tooth belt pulley at some point when rebuilding is necessary.
A happy camper here!

FX  Got myself an early Christmas present

@Gerry52 flipping the trigger bar around backwards and mounting the trigger in another hole on the bar got the stock on and functioning. Did some work on the inletting as it did seem to be swollen in some spots. Only problem I have now is the trigger bar does not engage with the safety at all, since it is reversed, the back end is shorter than what it should be, so there is currently no way for the safety to interface. Think I have any easy fix for that, though.

Pictured with extended/modified factory FX Crown moderator. Pistol sight will be replaced with something else. Maybe a red dot or small 4x scope.

Choke length on 24" LW barrel for Condor

I emailed Airforce to see what the twist rate is on my older Condor. They said it's 1 : 17.72”. Would this twist rate still be slug friendly?
Take a 22 cal cleaning rod with a tight wad looped on the end. Insert it all the way to the barrel end, Then with a magic marker mark the rod and then slowly extract the rod so the rod makes one complete revolution. Then measure the distance the cleaning rod traveled and that is then your answer. If that distance is more than 18", it won't shoot slugs well. . . . . simple.

FX  A Balmy 74 degrees........

Sounds like you had a great day!
Im courious about your .30 Boss, at 100 yds
What pellet, weight of pellet, and FPS?
I was shooting JSB Hades,.30 cal. @ 885-895ish fps. For the 1st few years I had the Boss it wouldn't shoot Hades accurately (@ 840fps) but this past summer I installed a Huma regulator, factory set at 160 bar. The change was just short of miraculous. Before the Huma all it would shoot accurately were JSB 44.75gr. After Huma I can now shoot 44.75 domed, Hades & 50.12gr pellets with beautiful accuracy. Huma cost me $88 & got to me in 3 days 🙂

Best slug for Hp Max .457

Then I later added this.
Griffen 200gr Hollow Base Hollow Points. Under the same conditions.
200gr
1. 792 fps 278.64 fpe
2. 778 fps 268.87 fps
3. 754 fps 252.54 fpe
4. 733 fps 238.67 fpe
5. 680 fps 205.4. fpe
6. 659 fps 192.91 fpe
On a few occasions I had a stronger second shot that the first, and on one shot. The second to the last came out higher. Other than that presure drops and very consistent.

Crosman  ICON problem

I have the same issue it seems that if I don't pull it a certain way it doesn't engage. I tried dropping spring and got it way down and problem still happened though less so because it was easier to pull back. At this point I've kind of learned the feel because if not engage you feel the tension on bolt but if engaged bolt becomes slack. It happens 1 in 10 normally I can catch it before loading pellet. Not sure if issue gettiing better or if I'm just getting better at feeling it.

hearing some arnt having issue at all im tempted to reach out to crosman
