Differences? Nikko Diamond Sportman vs Hornet ED

Was looking at Nikko's website and looking at scope retailers

The main differences I can see are the price and the Diamond Sportsman is not illuminated/made in Japan?

Nikko Diamond Sportman 10-50=$973
Nikko Hornet ED 10-50 = $736

Anyone have first hand experience with these scopes (IQ, ranging, holding zero, repeatability?). I did a quick forum search...didn't turn up much.

winter shooting

I caved and began practicing indoors, which limits me to 17’ shooting distance. The good thing is that with the ability to control lighting, and shooting off my “bench,” I can get more accurate shots. No wind, no wobbles, just concentrate on aim, breath, and trigger finesse. Lots of pellets into the same hole. It allowed me to see that I should adjust windage screw on the pistol a little bit and then see the improvement right away.

The rifle gets the bench treatment next time. With that gun, after testing it similarly to today’s pistol session, I might ditch the bench and do some practice sitting on the floor, without any support other than triceps on bent knee. That’s still a shorter distance than most outdoors shooting, but at least the rest is the same.

I agree with rsfrid about the satisfaction derived from putting the pellet exactly where the gun was aimed, regardless of distance. The targets can be smaller with shorter distance; easy to see.

And a plug: The Big Bang Pellet Trap is wonderful!

Big News, Small Bottle!

Hello from Az USA. I won one of your tanks at RMAC 2 years ago. The gauge leaks I tried replacing with an FX gauge still leaks. Tried emailing your company in Sweden twice with no response. So I’ll try this. My last inquiry was trying to find a dealer in AZ. really want to use your tank and replace my omega because it appears to be quite a bit lighter for the same size.

Tuning  Slug guns? V/S Pellet guns

A mini?! How cool is that? I've got a female standard sized with similar markings as your mini. I also had a male, years ago when I lived in New Orleans. But all my dogs are rescued in some way and Moxie is the first cattledog to come my way since. Anyway, I've got a thing for Blue Heelers. Sorry for the momentary derail.
toy mini.. full size was behind laying down.. let me see if I have a picture of the mini I had but my daughter wanted her so she is with my daughter.. she was a regular mini, not a toy mini like my picture is..
my toy mini is the only one that I have had in years that was not a rescue.. both the one my daughter has and my full size red/blue heeler were rescued.. yes I'm partial to heeler but if you are running cattle the boarder Collie and a blue heeler makes a good team.. the border Collie guides the front of the heard and the heeler keeps them together and going where you want them..

RTI  Good combination for hammer weight, travel for .22 600mm & 27gr slug at 55-60Ft lbs

valve seat.png

I'm building my own .22 (5.5mm) PCP with 20-24inch (500-600mm) barrel and trying to come up with most efficient setup.
So by valve's gonna be traditional valve, not balanced of any sort. shooting 27gr slug, at around 950-970fps out of 600mm barrel (might be lower for 500mm), and running around 135-140bar for regulator.

My question is, what should be the most efficient setup?
1. Throat diameter, proppet diameter (I learnt that proppet should be 2mm larger than throat in diameter, I use peek).
2. Valve steam diameter 2 or 2.5 or 3mm for better efficiency?
3. Hammer weight and travel? I have my impact M3 hammer at 24gram, 20-22mm travel, huma spring and had great success with 960fps 27gr out of 600mm barrel but since M3 valve is some sort of balance valve, I don't know if that hammer weight could be applicable for a traditional design. Have around 58 shots, 230bar fill out of 500cc tank at 135bar reg pressure of my M3.
4. Does valve seat shape in figure A & B play a role in efficiency or open force, hence lighter or heavier hammer weight?
5. What's better, a heavier hammer or heavier spring?

For give me for my ignorance but I'm willing to learn and this forum is the best place! Scouted some of the posts around hear but haven't found one that suits my particular setup.

Kral Arms  Kral Puncher Jumbo scope mounting issue

Thank you Florida Man I didn't think to look on the Sightmark site for that mount. I still need to find a mount to raise the scope and mount high enough to clear the mags like what I posted pictures of? The Eagle Vision mounts are nice and pricey but they are all picatinny. I tried just mounting the borrowed Sightmark directly on to the receiver rail on my gun but it is too wide so the receiver is 11mm dovetail underneath the narrow pic rail above. Kind of hard to describe.
I tried one with my pard but it didn’t work.

Something like this

Ulightfire 46mm Low Profile Rail Adaptor,20mm to 11mm https://a.co/d/81njABZ

HAIYANG 2pcs Scope Mount Rail Adjustable Adapter 20mm Picatinny to 11mm,Mini Rail convertor Aluminum Alloy Lightweight https://a.co/d/8AkVFuT

Nightforce ATACR vs. the NX8: How big is the difference?

Hi, Matthias.

I just saw your post. The reason I did not initially include the link is because I didn't create the thread yet.
