I think the 30 cal will do it just fine as Ive done it with a 25 cal at 100.Merry Christmas!! I think I may have misspoken. What I meant to say is that the shooting is likely to take place within 50 yards, 100 being the limit (but not very likely). In other words, I'd like for it to have enough power for coyote at 100, but I don't really plan on stretching it that far.
Maybe check out the Arken Zulus… Seems to be a sweet unit, patiently awaiting mine
Interesting. I find that while many may poo-poo tests at close distances, when you remind them of how small MOA actually is at that distance, they back off. I typically shoot at 7 yds which sounds incredibly close, but MOA is only 0.07” at that distance and I shoot pistol. Handgun matches often use 7 yard firing lines.I always try to orient my practice sessions around something I might be able to learn. Over the past several days on this AGN forum there have been various discussions regarding the comparative performance of JTS and other pellets.
Today dawned 17 degrees in Indiana and so for my daily shooting session, I decided to create an indoor range educational opportunity. Five of my various .22 rifles are tuned to shoot the .22 25.4 gr pellets. While visiting the Pyramid Cup earlier this fall, I picked up a sample tin of the JTS 25.4 grains, with more than half of it gone. I also had received from AOA with the purchase of a Wolverine R HP a tin of Rangemaster King 25.38 pellets. My "go to" pellets heretofore have been the JSB Jumbo Monster Redesigned and the FX 25.4 pellets. I had just enough of the JTS 25.4 pellets left to shoot two ten shot groups each through three rifles. So I arbitrarily picked my Ken Hicks SPAW tuned Red Wolf HP, my RAW HM1000X Chassis, and my Brocock Sniper Magnum XR.
Setting up on the 18 yard indoor range behind the Caldwell Chrono, I proceeded to shoot two ten shot groups of each pellet series with each of the three rifles. While 18 yards may not seem like enough distance to test, my experience over the years is that distance is very relative, and the group comparisons size correlations will translate downrange.
Below you will find a chart showing the results output. Note that the JTS 25.4s slightly beat out the JSB Jumbo Monster Redesigned pellets utilizing an average of the best two shot groups with the four rifles results combined, but the difference was miniscule and could have been the result of a single out-of-round skirt or even shooter error. But the difference between the lowest average to the highest average was significant given the close yardage.
With regards to the rifles, the Red Wolf bested the RAW by a small margin, but both were significantly more accurate than the Brocock. Note that at 18 yards sub MOA translates to <.18. Both the RAW and the Red Wolf performed at sub MOA levels, with the best 10 shot group measuring only .08" C-T-C, about as close to one hole as at least I can get.
Given all of the above, at 75 yards or less, with any of these rifle and any of these pellets, I don't think a squirrel or a crow will be able to ascertain a difference between any of these pellet's performance.
Just another fun practice exercise. The take away for me is going forward, I will be purchasing either the JTS 25.4 or the JSB Jumbo Monster Redesigned pellets when my inventory starts to dwindle (probably a few years out, LOL).

√ Found pile of fruit in the kitchen, so I'll bake a tart......
That tart was DELICIOUS!
Could you elaborate on that ZB mount? A link would be very helpful. Thanks.I did the clip on, it wasn’t for me. My suggestion if you go that route is to buy an eaglevision attachment piece, from all my forum reading it makes it much better. I always have one of my rifles set up for night duty, so I went with the NV008. The Arken wasn’t out yet, or I probably would have bought that. I have no complaints about the NV008. I bought a ZB rail mount so I can adjust it physically, not digitally. I highly suggest you do that same if you go that route. I like my crosshair in the center of my picture. Mine is currently sitting on a P35, while my Notos is under construction.

Good morning Tony, this post is a little over a year old, but your website still states that you make both pellets and slugs. There's also a video of someone showcasing your slugs with an open tin a .30 pellets and your lid off the tin. Did you make pellets when you first started? Not sure why someone would lie about the company they got them from.I am truly sorry you feel that way, but we don't make or sell pellets . We only specialize in making Slugs.
I've never seen anyone else mention this problem so I doubt it.I'm glad you have the ability and tooling to fix on your own. Do you think their all like that?
On mine I just loosen the gauge until it starts loosing air since there is no degas screw on theseSo not new to pcp but my first xisico. The qd port is different than my others. It's too short (?). The whip from my compressor (and tank) won't clip into place, won't lock. Maybe pervious owner changed it out? Can I swap it out for a normal length one? How do i degas the gun? Is got about 1k psi in it now. Shoot until empty or is there a trick to bleed it off quicker?
Thanks!
Let me answer your question. I’m from China, where airguns are now classified as firearms, and owning or trading airguns and accessories is considered illegal. Therefore, there are no lead pellets available on the Chinese market anymore. Only some small workshops produce them, but the quality is poor. Some larger manufacturers produce airguns and accessories for export, such as Huben. However, it seems that players from other countries don’t prefer Chinese products. Many products have no Chinese labels and use English names, avoiding mentioning their origin from China. It might be difficult to find the type of pellets shown in your picture.
