Crosman  Crosman 600 Pellet Pistol First Version?

OP, that is a very nice C600. I don't believe that serial number are an accurate means to to date a 600, but I could be wrong. There were three variations and the first & perhaps second had the "short stroke" safety slot and corresponding notch in the grips. The third variant, and perhaps second has the stop and the stop roller in the trigger group.
very short stroke safety...

Some things never get old!

Looks like you got your moneys worth. Good stuff.

Quick google search says these are gone. Is there a good alternative out there that doesn't cost a fortune?

Edit: "Gamo rocker trap" looks promising at $32 and resets....but not sure its gonna hold up to PCP
Lol. I was shooting it with the HW40 last weekend while BBQ-ing.
That pic of it is actually an old one. it is more worn out now as I set it up for longer range and started shooting it with the rifles, over the last year.

One Squirrel By One Squirrel...

I have 2 "toting" guns now for "field hunting" - a term I use for walking around all the time versus setting up in a blind or in a fixed position. The EVOL .22 and a PHC .25 are my "goto" now. For most of the small game - mostly pests - I use the EVOL as it is extremely dependable. So far, the PHC is also very reliable and can really pack a wallop in terms of fpe.

For 65 yards and under in settings that I need to be extra quiet and also very cognizant of my surroundings, I use my Daystate Wolverine R 177 - but its not a carry gun for me.

Waiting for the new AAA line to appear for sale. Might have to look into that new .257 with slugs. The problem is what to let go of in return! LOL

FX  Maverick VP finally ready!

@ Jay- do yourself a favor- on the left side of the gun is a small black cocking block, that the cocking arm is connected to, and this block is anchored to the stainless or titanium cocking rod, with two M4 grub screws. Those typically have locktite on them but trust me when I say those will work loose in time, and throw your velocities way off(like up to 100 fps) cause that rod will slip and cause your pellet probe that’s attached to the rod to get misaligned with the air transfer port.

If you try bearing down on those grub screws you chance rounding off the Allen socket, then you’ll never be able to tighten it and worse yet, remove them.

Source two M4 x 6mm length socket head Torx screws and replace those grub screws one at a time. Do use locktite on the new fasteners and do heat the grub screws before attempting to remove them. The Torx head will allow you to bear down tight on that cocking titanium rod, and the chances of stripping a Torx head is rare. You’ll sleep better knowing you’ll never lose your transfer port alignment, lol

Thanks, I didn’t realize this could effect fps. I’ll look up how to check the probe alignment and check those screws.

PCP Rifle  NLA HW100 Carbine .22/HW100 .22 FSB

This was a HW100 FSB (full shrouded barrel) when I purchased it a couple of months ago from another member. I'm not a big fan of long airguns so I ordered a 410 mm barrel and barrel band and converted it to a carbine. I'm selling with both barrels. Gets about 70 shots before falling off the regulator. JSB 15.9's average about 740fps with the carbine barrel and about 750fps with the longer FSB barrel. Airgun is in very good condition and shoots great with either barrel. This was an impulse buy, I already have Two HW100 bullpups and find I just don't shoot this one much at all. Comes with everything in the pictures except scope and rings. Price is $800 shipped in the lower 48 states.

Here is some helpful info for Heritage Arms Cold shot users with dovetail/picatinny adapters.

If you are using a Heritage Arms Cold Shot scope base with a dovetail to picatinny adapter, here is some helpful info.

I shoot a Texan which has a dovetail scope mount. I also have a Heritage Arms Cold Shot scope base which I use for long distance shooting.
According to Heritage Arms, the Cold Shot can only be mounted to a MIL-STD-1913A Picatinny rail. (this standard is important). This mil-std rail is 21 mm / .826 inch wide.

I purchased a dovetail to picatinny rail adapter on Amazon for less than $30. The width of these cheap Amazon adapters have a width of .817. The difference in width is the problem with these cheap adapters. No matter how much you torque down the 3 Cold Shot bolts on the picatinny rail, it will not hold the scope snugly.

I was ready to order a USA and professionally made adapter from Kelbys rifles for $85 which is out of stock. Then I had a thought of using some metal shim material I already had, which worked like a charm.

I had some .008 metal shim stock which I cut in strips and slipped one on each side where the cold shot mounts on the adapter. Now I use 1/2 of the effort to lock down the Cold Shot. I'm going to try this for then next few months. If the Cold Shot does not loosen up, I will make it permanent. Or at least until Kelbys rifles has their adapter back in stock.

I hope this info helps other Cold Shot users.
