I have no idea what my regulator pressure is set at. I left it as it came.Hi
I am one of the first to get the Thomas air rifle for the 25 m benchrest Heavy Varmint ( serial number # 0091 ).
Now I want to use my thomas air for both light varmint ( 16j ) and heavy varmint ( 27j ) in world competition WRABF 2025 in Finland.
Considering that I use a 45 cm Lothar Walter barrel for LV 16j and 60 cm polygonal barrel for HV 27j, what is the regulator pressure you suggest for each?
What is the ideal pressure if I want to shoot both classes at the same pressure and only change the air port screw?
I have a huma pressure tester and I can set the pressure precisely.
Best regards
Lmao. I have tore mine down a hundred times. Once you do it a few times it gets pretty quick and easy. That small oring at the end of the valve rod does require the most work out of all of them. I also learned the light valve return springs cause that oring to break far easier if you adjust the valve rod adjuster too much. Before you tear your gun down to pieces, diagnose that little oring first. Single load and a piece of tape. Never tear an Impact down that far on a whim. You might aggravate it.
Like Matt, especially if not in a hard kicking hunting rifle.I don't understand $300 scope rings. If they are both solid metal what is the reason for rings that cost 10x?
I also use a lot of Westhunter rings and cantilever mounts. I get mine from AliExpress. $16.75 for cantilever mounts.

Thanks for the advice. I have a big shot target for my R-500 but do not want to tear the outer layer due to the egg shape of the arrows. Any suggestions on a target?Arrows fly different especially with fixed broad head on them so after sighting in with slugs I would target shoot the arrows as well
You still liking your cometa? You have more pics showing the whole gun?Tried four flavors again, and the Fenix USC Premier Star can't seem to decide if it likes the H&N Field Target Trophy 8.64s or the AA Diabolo Field 8.4s best. All are labeled 4.52, but the H&Ns are noticeably tighter in the breech than the others. From largest to smallest groups this afternoon:

Ok got ya. I checked into having a couple already expired tanks extended and it would be greatly expensive. Good you can buy them upfront. Thanks for the info.Trucker they do make 30yr tanks they are thicker and heavier than the 15yr tanks

You're not wrong! As long as they don't come shipped from a reseller loose in a paper bag...
I first read that as waterbeds - I thought, wow, that's a lot of work hauling a waterbed outside to fill & shoot, or clean up the mess indoors.to shooting paintballs and waterbeads.
I never shoot down to reg pressure. I fill to 250 bar and shoot down to about 150-175 bar. Yeah one hundredish shots.Hey rsfrid,
How many shots do you get per fill?
About 110+
