oh boy , casting, another one of those slippery slopes. Lee MFG makes a bunch of stuff for casting your own without breaking the bank.
so on the cheap, cast iron or steel pot small 4" dia x4" deep apx. a ladel of some sort ( old table spoon would work but add a wooden handel to it) a heat source ( if you are married the stove is out of bounds) propane torch , hot plate ect. ( you need about600-700 deg F) a stand to set the pot on to use the torch. a mold. Flux ( candle/ bees wax or paraffin will work) some where to work with a lot of fresh air ( again if married kitchen is out of bounds) a small wooden mallet to knock the sprue plate open on the mould an old cotton towel/rags folded up several times to drop the pill on. ( note molten lead and moisture/water do not mix , results are explosive) leather gloves, safety glasses leather bib/ apron( personal protection no synthetics) lead source ( A lot of wheel weights are no longer pure lead) have fun stay safe

The Curse of the hunt for coyote#8

@Ezana4CE. Thank you for reading my story. Ya, the negotiation with the wife was a tough go around. I know she meant well and worried about my health, but darn it, only if I didn't have any time restriction, lol. I didn't blame her because the footage showed that there was nothing I could have done as the coyote was pulling at the hide instead of staying down to feed. It was just a very bad timing and wrong assumption on my part. It just didn't happen for me. But having said that, I would have taken a few moments longer if my setup wasn't changed and that I didn't have to do a free hand shot. Lots of what ifs, but oh well. Better luck next time.

I have thought about the body being tied down and left exposed on the top of the compose might have caused them to be warri. The first night when they were heard in the distance making some noises, I thought they had spotted me or smelled my scent. The wind was blowing towards me all night long so I didn't think that was the case. Perhaps they had watched or spotted me from distance when I was moving around behind the window 5 feet back. I really don't know. I retrieved my trail cam footages yesterday and found out they had returned around 6am that morning after I have left at 4:30am. I don't think they have found out where I was hiding because the trail cam footages never showed that they ever looked up at the window. I can only guess that they would be curious and wary at how or why the body was moved and left exposed and tied down. That didn't stop them from returning to feed on the next morning at 2:10am when I was there again.

@Telephoneepete. Thank you. I was using my FX Impact MK2 with 600mm slug A liner, shooting the H&N 25gr Gen2 slug at 967 fps, 52 ft.lb. So far I have tagged 7 coyotes all with my Impact, except my very first coyote#1 where I used my FX Crown 500mm shooting the JSB 18gr pellet with 32 ft.lb of energy. That shot was taken at 70 yards away. You can watch the video in my Youtube channel: Air Rifle Pestings. My Impact is my goto gun now as it has more power and I have tuned it for slugs shooting.

FX  STX Barrel Liner Oring Lockdown

Cool for those with 3D printers...if you don't a few layers of electrical tape on either side of the oring will do the same thing in a much lower tech way...
Ya I was using duct tape for awhile. I just needed an excuse to keep up with my drafting and 3D printing hobby.

If I don’t have a CF liner tube, I just tightly wrap one layer of Teflon tape around the oring. Stretch it as you wrap. Holds oring in place. Easy day.
Man I never would have thought of that. I bet it would work great on the .25 and .30. The .22 orings seemed oversized and a little tighter than the other two. The tube threading may have been an issue on the .22 liner
Anybody try using small zip ties on the sides of the O rings ?
Ya I tried that but the heads of the zip ties are too large for the .25 and .30. The tube ID is about 11.5mm and the .25 liner is 9mm OD. The .30 liner OD is 10mm.
= ?????????? That is all you have to offer Sherlock ???? haha

It was very kind of you to take the time to design these and then share them with the community freely . I personally thank you you for that . (y):coffee:
Hey, thanks man. I really appreciate that.
.

AEA  HP SS .25 decided to go Full Auto!

-the rod disconnects from the bolt because the thread is stripped
You had that as well ??? 😯
I assume that after that failure, single action was the only option.

Look, for me its AEA never again mainly because this company was aware of all these
problems and despite that they were keep selling it. They also made sure on their
website to point out that their magazines and the valve pin are not covered by the
warranty...

Knowing all these I cannot sell this airgun to anyone else because that would be
dishonest, so I am stuck with this airgun and I will at least try to solve its issues.
The semi auto function is tons of fun, but if I will not be able to solve the problems,
I will also convert it to single action.

PCP Rifle  NLA Beeman 1358 Parts

Project gun I never finished. Thinking of selling off the parts before I get any deeper.

I have a complete air tube that hasn't lost any air for the 3 months it's been sitting.

2 magazines, the breech and the threaded 19" barrel.

Also have the trigger mechanisms, just no cocking linkage and it was butchered beyond return. Same with the stock and trigger/rail housing.

Would make for a nice project for someone wanting tinkering on the 1357/1358 platform, or to just even do a caliber swap.

Let it go for $100 shipped CONUS.
Don't want to separate parts.

PayPal preferred, thanks

Diana  Diana 52 25M

The other day I had 4 groups in a row with 4 in a .23 hole. Then one that made it oval. I don't know if it's the gun or the fact it's a .22 not a .177. Any thoughts. With my TX in .177 It will shoot those true looks like 1 pellet 5 shoot groups often enough it's what I am trying to shoot. However out doors at 50 and 100 the 54 in .22 rules. That's what I bought it for.
Can’t imagine it’s because it’s .22. Relative size would still be the same .22 vs .177. Mine is .177 and will do the above all day long if I do my part. I’m hoping the HPM will get me closer to the one hole group. As is for a .177 making 18 FPE I'm pretty impressed with it.

Diana  To tune or just respring?

Any ‘kit’ will come with a fitted spring guide and top hat. The Vortek ‘kits’ also come with a piston seal, whereas the ARH kits don’t and you need to add a piston seal to your order. A spring is just that alone. FWIW, if you buy a spring from ARH, you need to have it set, otherwise it will be too long to fit. It is a PITA to set a spring yourself (as I once found out) and well worth the $2 extra cost.

Vortek kits come with a small tub of lube (plenty for a single gun) and you can buy a small container or moly lube from ARH. With lubes, less is best and using too much will just make a mess and cause the gun to diesel when firing.

A regular tune kit from either Vortek or ARH should have your 48 shooting in the 14-17fpe range, which is plenty for small game hunting. Personally, I would not go above 17fpe for a .177 gun.

Good luck and let us know how things turn out 👍
