Who was BB King?

I bought my daughter a Red Rider on her 9th birthday. We were shooting cans at about 15' when a dove landed about 20 yrds away. She asked if she could shoot it, sure I said, knowing no way shes going to hit it. She fired and I saw the bb fly right into the doves head, it just collapsed with wings spread out quivering. Pure luck but but she was so proud of herself..

Anybody notice a difference in fx 25 grain??..

My PP700SA 25 cal by Wes didn’t like the JSB 25 grain but shot the Air Arms 25 grain lights out. Air rifles are curious beasts.
If I remmeber correctly AA has their own dies, all of my guns shoot AA the best but the price is a bit up there for how often I shoot.

Moderator for 50 fpe?

My experience is quite different. Not saying Falx is bad but it really depends on the tune. STO moderators are quite effective at max power but at low to mid power level they are not any better or worse compared to some Donny. I owned just about every model Donny made and depends on the tune and power level they also differ in effectiveness. Interestingly the quietest Donny ever made was an old Sumo, partly because they didn’t open up the bore to accommodate clipping and the Falx is much louder.
You are correct about the correlation between moderator bore size and sound reduction. It really matters. In my many years of making moderators, optimum clearance between pellet and bore diameter is .020". Tighter clearance adds negligible value. Unfortunately, most commercial moderators use much more bore clearance to avoid clipping issues caused by barrel to moderator alignment issues, which unfortunately is all too common.

What is more important? Speed V Pellet V Barrel

Those are 3 very independent subjects that are ALL important for different reasons.

BC of a pellet: higher the BC the better it resist the wind, this exponentially more important as distance increases. Obviously the 10 meter indoor crowd couldn't care less.

Speed of a pellet: not really that important until the pellet becomes destabilized by transonic turbulences, usually safe to stay under 900fps for more traditional pellets and a little higher for more slug looking pellets but staying under 900fps is always a safer bet

Barrel choice: barrel to ammo combo is most important foundational requirement or no accuracy for you!

FX  Ergo Vertical Grip install for Impact M3

Now that I recall, when I installed the Ergo Zero Degree grip on my Evol, I had to use an adjustable wrench to clamp the allen key when screwing it in.
Yep so I just went to the work area and looked over my leftover screws. (I was doing this late last night and got cut short)

I tried a different smaller head screw I had laying around that fit with a skinnier Allen key and was able to get it to work.

Thanks for your help

My Dog

Great looking dogs Pete and all!
I've had hard driving working dogs in the past. Czech and east German bloodline shepherds and an Australian cattle dog. They have all been amazing. We have been considering another Heeler but I'm not sure I have the energy LOL
For now we have a slightly less high drive K9 sharing our home.
Cheers

Benjamin  2015 Marauder 25 cal low velocity

Thank you to those who pointed me in the right direction, replacing the missing breech #10 o-ring. My Gen 2 is dialed in to 821 fsp. I have a Hawke Sidewinder 30 scope with a "SR Pro" reticle. I used Chairgun (IOS version) for making shots but it's been discontinued. Is there a IOS ballistics app that includes the SR Pro reticle?

benjamin air rifle 357

Hello,I'm new...I have a benjamin franklin 357 air rifle, trying to fix it would like to know what it needs if it still will pump a few times and cocks and fires, will not hold pressure does it just need seals? total rebuild?thanks
I’d love to see a photo of this gun if it isn’t a Benjamin Bulldog .357.

Optics  SOLD One of the best Hawke airgun scopes ever made…

For sale out of my collection is a Hawke AIRMAX SF 30, model 13320, 6-24x50 scope with the AMX illuminated reticle. See box end photo below for specs.

This scope has been “babied,” only used on my Air Arms S410 shot on my indoor basement range by my granddaughter.

Is as close to new in appearance as can be for a used scope with no mount marks visible. Tracks as good as the day I acquired it. Has the original box, manual, extra set of scope caps, extra IR battery, all cap and Allen wrenches, and will be shipped in the original packaging.

The only thing missing is the side focus wheel as I have no idea where it is.

I have owned a half dozen of these over the many years with never one ounce of issue.

$330 via PayPal F&F shipped within the continental US.

Thanks for looking.

N/A  Need some help deciding on new PCP build. FX King.

In terms of killing power (damagemin tissue) .357 is at least 90% more powerful than the .30 Cal.

.30 Cal is about 65% more powerful than the .25.

Bigger calibers give less shots per fill than smaller calibers. Ammo is increasingly more expensive with bigger calibers.

Decide what you want to do with your rifle.

.25 is enough for raccoons.

.30 Cal is enought for coyotes and javalina.

.357 Cal is super appropriate for deer.
Appreciate the info Emu! I think I’m going to cap it at coyotes, anything larger and I’ll have to use a powder gun!
