Have 1 UTG and 1 West Hunter mounts/ rings. All 30mm. The UTG are considered "high" mounts, seem more medium to me. 2 red 1 blue. Also have 1 set blue west hunter rings also 30mm but have 1 inch inserts as well. The picture is from a previous post , The red west hunters are sold. The UTG has a 50mm offset. I've no idea when they went bad.

My MRD manufactured in 18 and 19 were very good. No complaints.

20 tins purchased later, 22 manufactured, absolutely rubbish.

Have had good results with the latest redesigned, shallow and deep. Out to 65m, 71 or so yards.

RTI's prefer the deep and my Daystate prefers the shallow.

Prophet 2 had a occasional flier but that was probably caused by the rifle acting up.

I've saved a few for testing at 100m, wind and weather hasn't been kind lately.

I'm looking forward to having decent MRD available again.

this is gun has not been modified its all back to factory seting i did mount a adapter on it added a ldc moved baffle around in shroude did not like how it looked took shroude apart set ever thing back like factory its had 2 pellets shot down it there is nothing arong with this rifle what so ever in botom pict you can see what it looked like with adapter and ldc was to long so i put it back factory like in top pict

Gerry! Even better being a Royale! My bad! I too luv old school platforms that have been around and have generations of tweaking to get the best out of that platform. I have a very similar gun in my RAW HMx, simple, robust old school with generations of engineering to that one platform so everything works in unison. Nowadays some manufacturers change platforms yearly without working out all the bugs! I like what Taipan is doing taking years to make small changes to an already bullet proof platform...hope to own one someday because of these things.

@Chukar60 He's got more experience than I do with air rifles for taking deer. I'm waiting to see what he comes up with. My answer is predictable.

I bit the bullet and ordered a non lrf model. It's backordered of course but it's cold and snowing here so I won't be shooting much anyway.
This will somewhat make the what may be a month or two wait a bit easier. ....lol

An antenna is a very good analogy. Successfully racing FPV drones in the early days of the hobby meant taking a crash course (literally) in RF. I learned a ton making analog video work over 5.8ghz at high speed in any orientation in any direction, with up to 7 other transmitters working within the same 100mhz and with trees or buildings often in the way. I built/experimented with dozens of different antennas, some for my goggles, some for the drone. The design process was very similar to silencers. Every decision is a trade off. And it is hard to visualize what's really going on with them. Although the science of antennas is WAY better understood.

I have 10 tins of 43 grain pellets put into 8 tins. I had a sleeve & there’s only 83 per tin factory wise so I condensed them.

I’m looking for either 16.54 GTO .25’s or 19-20.14 H&N FTT .25’s.

Whatever you think is fair is good for me because I don’t have anything that can shoot these heavy pellets.
