Shonuf and That'lldo - showdown

Recently i encountered two AGN members (shonuf and that'lldo ) competing in a battle of wits over whose method of scope mounting and centering is best.
I hereby throw down the gauntlet and challenge both said AGN members to show up at high noon 10 Nov 2023 at the Santa Rosa Shooting center in Pensacola Florida, where we will remove their scopes from their airguns of choice; afterwareds we will then allow them to remount, recenter, re-level, realign, said scopes to said bore of said airgun using their proclaimed method of "best way to mount and center a scope" after which, Shonuf and That'lldo will be required to shoots 40 rounds from their airguns:
10 rounds at 25 yards
10 shots at 50 yards
10 shots at 75 yards
10 shots at 100 yards.
Scoring will be done according to NBR standards and the looser will be required to buy all of AGN's members a cold beverage of their choice at the nearest local tavern.
Failure of either party to show by high noon, tomorrow. friday, will by default, mean the other parties method was better.
If both members fail to show it means that we must always remember that sometimes it is better to be happy than to be right.
Yes - humor intended.
4cl of XO Larssen in my local tavern is about 30 euros, I'm waiting! 😂

My apologies and I feel much better!

Songs like this always make me feel fortunate to be able to understand the Spanish language. It is one of the Romance languages for myriad reasons. While many English love and life songs are wonderful. They pale in comparison to Spanish love and life songs.
Claro que si Luis la idioma de espanol, italiano, y Frances son muy romantica. Las señoras Americana encanta bailar musics espanola por esa razon.

Coloured Shims

Not exactly sure of your intended application for airguns, but I get the concept.

Precision aluminum shims of different thicknesses are used in R/C car racing to adjust the length of suspension arms and positioning of a-arms in tuning for different tracks and conditions. I had a full set of shims specific to my cars hard anodized in different colors to denote different thicknesses for easy and fast ID and replacement at the track. I put them in a small plastic organizer with labels for each color/thickness. The idea works well in this application, could work for your idea too.

They look like this-

leshiy 2 250mm shroud screw thread size

According to the video below, they are M5. I watched the video months ago and do not recall if he mentions the length. Didn't have time to re-watch the entire thing.

If the video isn't time stamped to the time he discusses the sizes, scroll to 3:50.

Thank you Scouty

PCP Rifle  FOUND Looking for a .22/.25/.30 cal PCP; budget $700ish

If you’ve got a .22 cal, it should shoot slugs. .25/.30 cal pellets is fine but at least 42-50 F.P.E in .25 cal and upwards of 60 F.P.E. in .30 cal; both with pellets.

GOOD shot count…at least 40 at the specified power
FX?

MOST OF ALL, it should be a quality rifle capable of MOA at 50 yards (1/2 inch group; less is better).
Airmaks?

FX  FX Crown MKII regulator issues

Hi Again,
I have to admit that I generally ignore the first couple of shots after the rifle has been sitting for more than a couple of hours. Once it gets past that I start taking data. So my great ES and SD don't include those shots;). Both of my Crowns are such sweet shooting rifles that I can forgive some small flaws.

The Sub12Airgunners episode on the Amp regulators is
.

Another two you should watch are his ones on tuning the Crown. He (Really they as it is a father-son team, one of whom is Geoff) is limited to 12 FPE by law in the UK, but the principles he is showing apply to any power level. The first of those episodes is

Have fun with your Crown and hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Cheers,
Greg
Nice videos, thanks! Imagine buying a gun like the crown and having to shoot below 12FPE. Maybe also buy a Ferrari and cap the speed at 40MPH lol

Tuning  Would you consider this an accurate rifle?

If you setup 10 target bullseye and take a shot at each and see how many times you hit the "dot" or "cross" then you can clearly see if your gun is "accurate" or not. When you put too many pellets at the same target, the hole gets obscure by the paper tear. I understand shots grouping in 3 or 5 or 10 shots would indicate how well your gun shoots. But a single shot at a "cross-hair" target will show you exactly where you hit/miss.

Dependable Portable Air Compressors

I sold all my PCP rifles and pistol about 3-4 years ago. I loved the guns (Steyr), but I could not tolerate the terrible lack of dependability of my Omega Turbo Compressor. The dive shop to fill my carbon tank was a 70 mile round trip and I had to drop the tank off and come back to get it. Huge nuisance.

So, I'm down to a few replica CO2 shooters and my favorite air rifle, Air Arms TX 200.

I am thinking about getting a PCP again, but I'd have to also have a compressor. I just read the Outdoor Life review by air rifle legend, Jim Chapman. Can anyone recommend something that I can fill directly to the firearm that is easy to maintain and operate and less than $1,000? The Nomad III is intriguing, but...?
Thanks
Roy
if you are only going to be filling airguns or topping off a ninja tank you can't beat the yong-heng portable. Operates on 110 or 12v and has auto shutoff. Best price go to wal-mart.com and search 300 bar compressors. It is $229 with free shipping.

N/A  Time travel, to buying your first PCP

My first was a Daystate Pulsar. Wonderfully accurate gun. Loved the electronic trigger.
Unfortunately it was as dependable as a drug addict. Electronic problems plagued it.
I remember thinking at the time that the market will be led by electronic guns or the infinitely variable FX. I went the FX route and have really enjoyed all of them even the Maverick I cut my teeth on. Power gun did not deserve what I put it through.
I recently bought an old FX Cutlass due to its looks and and my first unregulated gun. It won’t be my last. I am finding myself appreciating the simplicity, old school wood stocked, blued steel and standard rifle platform. I may be going backwards but enjoying the ride.
