SOLD Ember Moderator 50% Off

$50.00 To Your Door

It is marked down because I am trying to clean out some of these moderators so that I can work on the next generation. It will easily handle ANY 177 caliber rifle out there. I've shot it on a 60 fpe Condor (with no pellet).

This little moderator is 97mm long, 35mm in diameter and weighs a whopping 1.25 ounces ;) ! This is a 17 caliber moderator but you could run it on a 20 caliber if you were mounting it directly on the barrel. This moderator has a steel insert and is 1/2 UNF.

Results  Sunnyvale N50 match results 1/5/24

Hey Dana, glad to hear you're back. If you can send me your schedule I'll post it up at Concord- I know our guys would be interested in participating
Been doing this the last 2 years. Been awhile since I shot FT. We shoot the first Saturday of every month as our regular match. We also shoot 2 Friday matches for those that can make it.

Presslug

Does anyone has any experience with the Presslug. Seems to be out of stock in most places for the (.2173) die kit.

@Ta-Ta Toothie I suggest that you try searching the AGN forums using "Presslug," "Airforce Slug Press," and "Airforce Press" as keywords to answer the first part of your question.

Here's one to get you started https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/airforce-slug-press.1282722/page-2

Gauntlet SL30 vs JTS Aircuda Max.30 cal

I have the Hajimoto tuned 30. Likes AEA 45 grain small groups thru 75 yards. No luck with slugs. Yes heavy and long but very accurate

64 grain Griffin cup base slugs are the money shot with these guns

There are others that do well, too. But I would start with that and then look at Griffin boat tail slugs (they are heavier but also shoot well).

As for the guy above who says "these are breaking", I'm sorry you have had that experience. But I have a G2 in 25 and 30 and they've had no issues and I shoot them a lot.

FX  Wait... What? The FX King .35 call 500mm CAN SHOOT ARROWS TOO?

Wow this is amazing!

One thing I don't remember is if the arrows you ended up using are specific ones or any arrow will do it?

My buddy Steve and were trying to create a fishing rig with arrows and this might be a great solution!
The Air Venturi .35 cal bolts work perfectly with Zero modification needed to shoot from an FX STX liner in 500mm barrel kits. Any Dynamic block can push them the fastest and with a Tungsten hammer we got them above 520 FPS! That would be overkill for a fishing kit as you need to get those down around 200 FPS. You can just down tune the FX Dynamic though to get them to that velocity. Going over 200 FPS results in stuck arrows in the bottom of lakes and rivers. Ask my how I know. LOL!

Left Handed FX King

I doubt it. FX doesn't have any lefty friendly models in my opinion. I am right handed but shoot from my left shoulder because my left eye is my master eye. I got started shooting shotguns with both eyes open. A Crowne or other long gun could work for me but I want a bullpup. The bullpups all have huge magazines which hit me in the face. Some modify their rifles so they can shoot them but I'd rather just buy a different brand - like the RTI prophet.
I am also right handed and shoot as a lefty due and I als like bullpups. I had impact mk1 when magazines were still small, it was convenient to shoo for left hand shooter. I had edgun matador r5m for a few years and it was a laser and a joy to shoot. Built like a tank and never failed. Also not a problem for a lefty to use it.

Beginner help needed - please be nice - air rifle .177

New to air Rifle. My kiddo does 4H Shooting sports .22 rifle events and now wants to add air rifle. Any help is greatly appreciated. We have to purchase at least 2. One for silhouette and one for 3P. Need ideas that won't break the bank.
I would say your best source is the 4H shooting match s Go to those and see /ask the people there . you might find a few used guns or a for sale list of what guns they actually use , and more importantly what to avoid . i bet some will let the boys shoot after the match , Warning be quiet during the match .

Huben  .25 Slugs for GK1?

From reading it seems like most people are having decent performance as long as the slugs are .254 in size? AVS slugs makes them in flat, cupped, dished, and hollow based. Has anyone found which works best with the GK1 as far as the type of base if the cupped, dished or hollow base is better than the typical flat base slugs? When I read posts in the projectile forum it sounds like it is dependent on the type of gun and barrel which is why I am curious if anyone has gone beyond just the diameter but tried the different types of bases that can be purchased to see if one design is better?

Krazykool recommends 25 42 grain flat base. Spoke to Steven at AVS and he likes them too.

Your goto slug or pellet for the Dynamic Express 700 in 22

Your new batch of slugs is from 2022, the old from 2023. The batch number always ends with the manufacturing date, so 010222 means February 1st, 2022.
After introducing the new, deeper hollow point, we discovered that the upper thin part of the hollow point tends to get dented or deformed during handling and transport. We therefore widened the meplat a little and made the outer wall of the cavity a little thicker at the top, resulting in significantly fewer undesirable deformations.
I hope my explanation is understandable...🫣
Well, unfortunately for me, I won't be purchasing anymore until this 1st run gets out of circulation. My gun definitely sees a performance difference between the 2.

Which magnification

In my eyes the question is not
"what you want to do with it"
but
"what you want to see with it"

If you cannot see it how can you shoot at it?

But again me shooting target only 50-100 Meters, I like to zoom in to see smallest details.
I would say to see your POI clearely for 50 M a minimum power shall be 24, at 100 M the 32 power is lower border line. Considering these a quality glass only.
If the scope is on cheaper side you shall know that no one will be sharp clarity enough at the high power zoom, if you want a clear picture at 24 power you shall consider at least a 32 power scope.... and go on.

@Cheplicki Thanks for trying. I've got other airguns I'm interested in as well. I can spend my money elsewhere.
I’ve got a netvor and cheplicki and I will do some sort of video soon . It might be a squirrel hunt !

N/A  Water Damage From Improper Filling

I've been filtering on both ends of the compressor
My grey goop between the ears have been down those lines too, but i was not quite sure it could be done or for that matter how to do it.
Of course not thinking so hard that i bothered to duckduck my questions.

So far i have regularly looked inside my rifles, most often the air reservoir, but in other cases also other places in the rifles, so far i have seen nothing that indicate water.
But i am also just getting started with my Chinese Coltri copy compressor, so plenty of room for failure in the future.
