Air Venturi  Now that the Avenge X has barrel kits…FX liners?

Yeah lol.

Update: I found metal aluminum the housings that could fit the .25 cal liner

It could work definitely.

Vevor pcp compressor

My second small Vevor compressor died today. The first one lasted about 1-1/2 years and felt it was a good value at 200 bucks . The second was under 6 months, so not so good . I did have an extended warranty at Amazon and I'm glad I did . Got my full amount refunded and am giving to try their larger 4500 psi unit a try . Will get the extended warranty. If this one dies early I will be done with Vevor compressors.

Both mine seized up. I will take one apart someday but thinking it's the motors .

Anyone having luck with this one ? I haven't hit the order button yet . It's 270 with a 3 year warranty. I doubt it will make it 3 years .

Other  Need Opinion: FX Impact M3 or Daystate Red Wolf HP

how vulcan 3 700 in .30 compare to red wolf hp or dynamic 700 on 100m precision ?
i only seen payd videos on yt for red wolf hp and i dont trust them that much
want to get one rifle that shoot precisely .30 slugs on 100m or even 150
so rifled cz vs lw poly vs pressed
i know that fx have first shots valve problems
for v3 or rw hp in .30 , dont have a clue ,i know v3 is great rifle friend have one in .22 but ??
sorry to bulge in with this ,but dont know where to get 1st hand experience that wasn't paid by fab

Brocock/BRK  Brocock Pathfinder XR .177 pellet velocity and energy (part 3 - with corrected ft/lbs energy data)

@zx10wall works not only on BRK guns but most any guns. I am not sure I think he does not work on FX guns. He did and trigger job on my Ghost and did a trigger job on my pathfinder Xr and did some work to get more power out of it. Went out and shot today and did this at 55 yards with just a step stool and sticks.

Thank you for the fast response. I will check him out.

Brocock/BRK  Brocock Pathfinder XR .177 pellet velocity and energy (part 2 - with corrected ft/lbs energy data)

I bought it from Airguns of Arizona, not 12bl/lbs. I can shoot 6 13pellet mags (78 pellets) per fill before reaching the 150BAR.
Ok. So quite a difference compared to 12bl/lbs model shooting 200 pellets.

But the extra power probably helps a lot when shooting longer ranges.

Your FPE numbers seem awfully high. I ran the numbers through StrelokPro and the Crosman 7.9 gr at 993 = 14,3 FPE…

Those FPE numbers are the ones given by the FX Chrono app. Glad you caught them.

11/11/23 Turkey opener

What was the feel of having a semi un turkey hunting?

At what distance was the shot?
The turkey was about 30 yards away, she paused for a second as she was behind a bit of grass. I pulled up and shot her through the neck offhand. I've currently got a LPVO scope on it which worked great for that close distance. I only took the one shot, but I am happy I had the option for quick follow-up shots if I needed them. This is the first time I hunted turkey with any kind of rifle, so I wanted to be able to have that semi-auto action if I missed or just wounded it.

Umarex  Notos Bottle Conversion

Hello dear, I just received my notes and without a doubt I want to do the tank change mod, I wanted to know what tank I use and its capacity and characteristics.
This may be of help. I didnt do the conversion, just sent it off to Firewalker on this forum. But this thread has some specifics on a bottle that can be used

Benjamin  The right pesting gun for the job

So, I took weevils advice and ordered a Akela Max from Rich over at Airgun Revisions (But in .22 caliber- I have a lot of pellets).

I just wanted to relate my experience with the gun and AR Revisions. Upon receiving the gun, I noticed that the barrel was not exactly parallel with the air reservoir. It came with a barrel band, so I loosened it up and corrected the condition. I thought this was caused by rough shipping since the included pellets had badly bent shirts.

I then cleaned the barrel and mounted the scope. I went out and sighted it in at 30 yards but could not get it to group well. I brought it to the bench for disassembly and inspection and sure enough- rotating the barrel in the receiver showed it to be bent. AARG!

In this day and age it’s hard to find anything resembling good customer service. I was surprised then how quickly and professionally Rich responded: He immediately emailed me a return label and had the gun back to me in about 10 days even though he had to order in the new parts. He kept in touch and communicated so I knew what to expect. He personally checked and tuned the rifle to his (and Mine) satisfaction. Thank you Rich!

Being winter and in a snowy northern location, I’ve not been able to spend much time setting up and testing. But, my first time out, I was able to get 1 to 1 ½” groups at 70 yards.

The gun holds air and is ready for spring.

Those starlings are in for a big surprise.

Thanks for the good advise!

Tuning  Paul Watts

Finally got around to shooting the D54 today. Threw a Hammers “springer” scope from Amazon on it so we’ll see how long it lasts. Ended up adding 4 gaskets behind the barrel weight for harmonics control/accuracy. The trigger is good; lots of take up but breaks fairly cleanly.

I really enjoyed shooting it today, but I’m pretty certain that I was loading it the “wrong” (not the safest) way. There is a ratcheting safety, but I shouldn’t depend on that.

I started my crazy airgunning obsession with PCP, but had I gotten a springer first I might have had more of them. I just really liked grabbing the D54/pellets and being able to shoot immediately with no extra gear needed. And I didn’t find the cocking action to be annoying or tiresome.
