A little update:

I mentioned that the old Japanese made Riton scope (an RT-S 5 Mod 2 4-16x50) came apart after just a few shots on the HW77k (it had also seen maybe 500 shots on a SIG ASP20) and was being returned under Riton's lifetime warranty....

They handled it very well IMO. They worked with me to figure out what an appropriate replacement scope would be, and they weren't trying to replace it with a lesser item.
While I may have been able to insist on a replacement from their Japanese made products, the prices on those were so much higher than the equivalent dollars I spent on mine that I didn't ask for that.
What we did agree on (and without any drama or haggling) was an X3 Conquer 3-15x44 with the PDTR reticle. It's a made in China scope, but it certainly seems to be a good one from the off-gun assessment I've given it. Don't worry, it will be on a gun soon enough!
Glass is better than I'll ever need for airgun or rimfire, and online reviews report that the glass is good out to long centerfire ranges. Controls are good, and it seems like some special attention was given to the turrets. The controls are a little (and just a little) stiff but I estimate that will lead to a very good feel after a little break in. Turrets are very positive. It's laid out well, and I really like the reticle upgrade. Simple and VERY useful for airgunning out to 100 yards or so.

So, I have to give Riton a thumbs up for customer service. They turned a bad day into a good one.

upper end Hawke scopes work well with heavy recoil.

I ended up ordering a BRK ghost, silver edition in 25 caliber from Derrick Wall. I haven’t had the chance to shoot it much yet, hopefully this weekend I can get out. Thank you to everybody who offered advice. If you’re in the market for an airgun, and great service, you should give Derrick Wall a try.

My Revere Safari shoots the original 13's the best, Redesign not so well. With the factory tune its only pushing them 740ish fps, but its still better than all the 10.3 gr I have tried. My Revere does not like the FX 13 grain pellets.

Side note, the current tin of original 13.4 I am using did not appear damaged, but it has an awful amount of pellets with skirt damage.

Almost humilitating when this happens.
A $1000 scope become worthless, when the target is too close.
Id like to fix that situation, but I still need the scope to be funtional at 100 yards as well.
I may be asking for too much!

It is marked down because I am trying to clean out some of these moderators so that I can work on the next generation. It will easily handle ANY 177 caliber rifle out there. I've shot it on a 60 fpe Condor (with no pellet).

This little moderator is 97mm long, 35mm in diameter and weighs a whopping 1.25 ounces ! This is a 17 caliber moderator but you could run it on a 20 caliber if you were mounting it directly on the barrel. This moderator has a steel insert and is 1/2 UNF.
