Won't ever happen.

After what an American partner did to FX, the total collapse of checks and balances following the coming midterms, and the big retribution following the next presidential election ...... you would be concidered an absolute imbecile by your board or partners if you even suggested investing in a manufacturing facility in the U.S.

Diana Airbug

I'm fascinated by the Diana Airbug, but at the same time I have still much to learn with the guns I already have. I'm thinking that the Airbug is "quite different" so I would need to "learn other things" , and probably I need to focus on improving my skills with "traditional" pistols.
Am I wrong? For example, is it comfortable to use the Airbug with a normal two handed pistol grip and stance, or is the "Olympic style" needed?
You can use either. I also use a rest sometimes.

N/A  Daystate, Airgun Technology or FX.

I’ve have 2 daystate reveres and have had 0 problems with them.
Had 2 fx mavericks ok in bigger cal 177 sucked. Still have a m3 but i don’t shoot it much. Never had airgun technology. But now i have a pair of brk ghosts and am very happy with them they shoot well and I’ve had 0 problems in the last 2 years! Ask me what to get? 👻

Taipan  Comparing the Taipan Slash compared to the Huben K1 - Whether to buy a 1st release model instead of waiting for new owner feedback

The Uragan 2 is a very very good example of this. Late model after some redesigns just before the U3 are ok, but again perfect example.

I can't disagree with you, and you're 100% correct!! We don't NEED this new gun now, and should know better and just wait... Let the 'other guys' beta test for us!

But, as I type this, I'm still debating a pre-order... :).

BTW, was the Uragan 2 that bad when it first came out? I'm not familiar with that gun.

Brocock/BRK  DIY Ghost Butt Plate

I have been playing around with a couple different ideas on a better butt plate assembly for my Ghost. I tried the first iteration a couple weeks ago at my first field target match. Well, first with my own gun and gear :D

I liked how the first one felt and how the rifle mounted to my shoulder, but decided to tweak it a little for version two.
Adjustable length of pull, via different thickness spacers. About 10 degrees of adjustment for cant, and about 1 inch of height available. I tried to get it as close to what I thought I'd like, so the adjustments are only for fine tuning. I have it pretty dialed in now, similar to chassis on a couple of my regular powder rifles.

Made from scrap oak, but different pieces had different grain and color. It didn't look right with the rest of the rifle, so I painted it with some hammer texture Krylon.
Had some leftover grip tape from a baseball bat for a couple soft rubber patches to make the rear plate less slippery.

I may thread a hole in the bottom for some type of bag rider, but mostly I am shooting from sticks.

Loving the Ghost, can't wait to try more field target matches!
Lots to figure out and improve on, but the rifle is awesome!!!

Tuning  FX M4 .22/.35 BC Data & Starting Tune Settings

I guess this probably doesn't belong, but I have heard about the bc calculator before being unavailable because of political reasons.. so is the attaman ap16 compact.. now if we could just get the moderators on the forum to remove the political reasons why we can or can not get a certain thing it would be awesome.. but again that's wishful thinking..

if any of you moderators read this you are doing a awesome job with this site..

I guess I'm just lamenting that we even have to be affected by political things even if we don't care to.
hope you all are doing great. have a great evening

CS4 - maintenance after no use for 2 years?

Would someone kindly explain to me the reason for changing the water?

I have an Omega Trail Charger, which I believe is a fairly similar design, and it has been sitting rarely used for about a year and a half. Before that it was used fairly often for a couple years. Anyway, I have never changed it's water. Upon inspection, it still resembles clean water. Has it's thermal cooling properties changed over time?

Meopta Optika6 4.5-27x50 Sunshade?

If you own this or probably the 18X version do you know the answer? The sunshade for this scope is stupid expensive, Like around $50 So...
I was going through my 50mm sunshades and can't find one that fits the objective of this scope.
I no longer have a 50mm objective Athlon or would check that.
Does anyone know if there is a sunshade that fits?

BTW this scope has extremely clear glass.. Very nice.

Tuning the .22 cal Guantlet 2 SL Trial , and Error Results.

I spent some time yesterday doing some trial , and error tuning on my .22 cal Guantlet 2 SL , and wanted to share what I found with anyone else messing around with theirs.
First there is no need to adjust the belliview spring washer stack as there are 3 shims that are easy to get to , and as a matter of fact the stack is contained by a white O ring that holds it in place , so the configuration can't be messed up , or washers lost . I started by removing the 2 blue shims. That change alone had the Guantlet shooting 14.3 grain Crosman Premier HP really well.
Then I replaced 1 blue shims , and that had the rifle shooting the 16 grain with excellent accuracy. Next I tried removing the brown shim , and replaced the 2 blue shims. Even though the velocity wasn't at 890 fps accuracy was very impressive. The first pic is the Crosman Premier groups.
The second pic shows the last 2 groups 1 , and 2 with the 18 grain field , and target Apolo domed pellets. The last 2 pics show how the stack is not easily disturbed being held in place by the white O ring. This was very simple to do , and now that Guantlet does not have to be left shooting the 25.4 pellets only. Be careful with the 3 tiny screws holding the bottle cover on that was the hardest part. I was able to post pics the the "Guantlet regulator stack" post please see them there. Thanks OldVet. Today I got my eyes dilated, so asap I will use the hammer spring adjustment , and see if I can up the fps from 835 to a little more. Maybe my local Hardware will have some super thin shims , and I can one or more to reach that sweet 890 fps goal I have in mind. OV.

NV-500 owners – question about the built-in inclinometer and ballistics calculator

@MMP Good question. I’m interested in reading the answer. Who is the manufacturer of the NV 500? Is there a brand name on your unit?
It is a company called OneLeaf. I followed up with them for a few emails on this topic, but I get the sense that they don't fully know the answer, or maybe I'm just not understanding their responses. I've received some vague responses, and responses answering questions I didn't specifically ask. In one of the emails, I was told that such a small angle really wouldn't make a difference. I get it, it's not going to result in missing your shot on a deer at 75yd, but a small animal at that distance or further, it could make a real-world difference. Regardless, that reply made me lose confidence in the entire interaction.

Anyways, I've thought about this a bit more and have come to my own conclusion that the scope is not feeding the angle into the ballistics calculation. When I tilt the muzzle, the predicted aim point does not seem to correspond to the angle change at any given distance. Additionally, if the scope was feeding the live inclinometer data, I don't know why the ballistics menu would bother having a place to enter your shooting angle....but then I questioned why bother having inclinometer data if it wasn't being used for ballistics. I thought maybe the angle value in the menu could be the angle at which you zeroed the scope, but the manual says otherwise.

My guess is the inclinometer is supposed to be used by the shooter so they can more accurately determine their current shooting angle and enter that into the ballistics menu. It would make more sense for the software to use the live inclinometer to calculate drop rather than having to manually enter based on each shooting situation. In theory, allowing the software to using the live inclinometer would also allow you to zero your scope at any angle and have correct ballistics at any angle and any distance.

FX  Titanium Impact M3/M4 magazine

Probably Russia, since they're the world's biggest exporter. Or better yet, the Soviet Union, to be machined into American spy planes :ROFLMAO:
First guess...correct.

The US had to get various, "non-aerospace" companies to buy it (lots of it). No way that they would sell to an aircraft manufacturer at the time !
