I agree there... but you'll find the big bore antiques pretty much went away when repeating firearms came about. Mid 1800'sRepeating firearms were of course eventually rulers of the roost, but that's not the whole truth.
Pump-up airguns were a popular alternative hunting weapon to wealthy woodsmen, especially in the later 1700's. There were many, many manufacturers besides Girardoni, with myriad calibers and power levels. They didn't always have a butt reservoir like the Girardoni, but a separate air tank / reservoir.
There are accounts from the early 1800's where people who used to be enthusiastic airgun hunters said how the potentially lethal pump-up mishaps were the very reason they stopped using airguns.
One period account tells of a servant who had the metal reservoir of an airgun blast through his torso while pumping it up, killing him instantly. Other times, the reservoir exploded from over-pumping or a manufacturing defect, killing people via shrapnel.
This was in the 1700's, long before repeating firearms.
Been thinking about an indoors target @ 7 yard basement area . mulch and bucket seems to fill the bill . Thanks
I have a @zx10wall tuned 25 Uragan and a V3 700 in 30. I don't use either for birds at my permissions unless I'm going after larger game. Pigeons, starlings, and other pest birds are done in with both my 177 and 22!
I don't think pigeon or starling with feel the difference between a 22, 25 or 30. I shoot at my farm. Once in a while I might see a coyote 100 yards or so. I want a air rifle that could do the jobI have a @zx10wall tuned 25 Uragan and a V3 700 in 30. I don't use either for birds at my permissions unless I'm going after larger game. I like that idea.It would be a nice gun cabinet. I would make one change. If the sides slid out instead of hinge open it would save a lot of space.
Maybe something like this:

The slide out rack could be made more narrow.
I used the barrel tension on the three different barrels ( 17”, 23”, 28” ) and it was an added benefit/value all the wayI am curious if the barrel tensioner added to the HP set up would add any accuracy? Anyone know if there available as an add on?
think i will shoot a springer next time so they do not call medical with a straight jacket when they ask the cost .It's a lot of fun. The other competitors are very good about lending bags and equipment to newcomers
