Flyers.

Muradtexas, give the rifle more rounds. My rifle has about 1000-rounds through it now and the bore has just started to 'come-in' and start grouping well!

I wasn't pleased with the rifle's performance to start with, but it's really starting to show it's potential now!
Interesting. I know firearms require some amount of copper fouling to shoot their best, is that something similar in airguns? But yeah, I'll keep those pellets around to try them again here and there. Will also play with different tunes once I have a compressor setup or at least a tank. Pumping it by hand doesn't make it easy to tinker with tunes haha.

Pellet traps

I have been using electricAl duct seal putty for years now. Starting with a portable one packed in a Glock pistol case when travelin, which works well. And then made 2 big ones with large electrical junction boxes. All plastic, no corrosion and have held up great. One of the large one has been on the boat for 5 years now and held up great. The Glock case takes just over 5 pounds of putty. The large ones are double layered and 30 pounds of putty each.

Scope tube size, does it matter to you?

Bigger tubes have the possibility of more adjustment range but my Athlon Talos 6-24 SFP has more adjustment range than most of my scopes despite it's 1 inch tube. Most of my scopes are 30mm and I have nothing bigger. I have a couple FFP scopes one with a thick reticle and one with a thin reticle. The thin reticle is much better for target shooting but is nearly invisible at the scopes lowest power. I prefer SFP. But a thick reticle FFP is fine for hunting and plinking.

Barra 400E battery???

I’m guessing that it could be with the right adapter, but you could also just charge it off a cheap inverter. One of these would work.

I just bought a second battery for mine. I’ve never managed to drain one completely by firing it, but if you don’t unplug it after shooting it will slowly drain.

Guns with the "happy switch"

I finally gave up my dream of a full auto .22 PB. Too costly to purchase, too costly to feed. The .22 Blitz is a hoot!!. Plenty of power, mine is accurate enough. In fact my only real complaint. it needs an Addl. moderator. it's a little loud for the backyard. Everyone that has used the happy switch breaks in to a broad grin and wants more, sure can, but you get to load the mags! It also eats Crosman CPHP's with wild abandon, it likes em. and can't beat 7 bucks per 500. I am lovin my Blitz! Just deciding on the big magazine, or the Hatsan speed loader for the std. mags. Prolly both! Any experience with the Hatsan speed loader folks?

Thoughts on your Hawk Frontier 34 and prismatic wide angles please?

SF is side focus.
SSP is second focal plane
FFP first focal plane
I don’t really like fixed unless it’s on a long range shooter.
With a shorter to 100 yard rig I definitely am zooming in/out, focusing far & near looking for English Sparrows in trees.
oops , side focus 👀

N/A  ANYONE ?

A bit of history on the R8 aka Original HW50. They had 25mm comp tubes and make around 9fps where the newer 50s models have a 26mm comp tube and make around 12fpe.
From another post on AGN, the R8 I just got from AOA and fits in very nicely with the 2 R7's (.177 and .20) the R9 (.20) and the R10 (.20) I also have:

AirMaks Arms  Katran LB rattle

Mine has the UNF collar firmly affixed to the shroud so it’s difficult to see inside. However, there is no movement between the stripper and the barrel. It seems very unlikely that they would have metal to metal contact supporting that union so perhaps there should be a thin plastic bushing. Airmaks is very responsive to email.
Thanks, Weevil. I was just thinking perhaps a little bit of PTFE tape might work to keep metal off metal. I'll shoot AirMaks an email.

Also, on another note, I appreciate your time and effort working out the Caiman X regulator issue. I intend to perform that fix on mine in the near future (y)
