Efficiency/precission tune for a Benjamin marauder .22 unregulated?

I look at it like I can't have everything the Marauders I have like to be smacked hard and that generally hits the efficient spot it's more critical on the fill pressure I keep that within a strict spot like say 27 to 22 for example
from what ive experienced thats about the sweet spot on mine, to change speeds faster which should i adjust first hammer stroke or hammer tension?

Tuning  Drilling or venting Hammer

What about Theoben and RAW design on this matter !

I understand that a good space for air vent is available. But have you tried ever venting the hammer in these platforms?

I see that there is a lot of air thrust when hammer goes to the valve stem. I don't know how much difference it creates in Theoben.

I understand that one of the reasons giving a vent hole on the side of FX Royal series guns, is perhaps to address this issue.

Thoughts needed.
Threw the years ... Theoben to RAW there w/o a doubt the hammers used have changed in profile on the forward / nose areas.
While there clearance with the receivers bore ahead of poppet stem are somewhat close, there not close enough to be semi sealing or of tight enough clearance IMO to create an issue.
As well the poppet stem on these PCP's has an O-ring sealing it to the valve body having near zero bypass of HP air coming into the hammer bore.

* ;) yes one of the exceptions in having poppet stem sealing

Airgun Technologies  Vixen question.

DON'T...by into what OTHERS may be doing just because it sounds like the thing to do !!!
It's YOUR gun, it's YOU that's doing the shooting. If the gun works out of the box, then great, go shooting, have a good time.
IF...for some reason, known ONLY to you... You don't like something about the way the gun is shooting. Then...adjust it so that it makes you happy. BUT...don't do the, "monkey see, monkey do" thing.

Just do some initial shooting (100+ rounds or so). Let the gun break in a little, you get used to the gun. THEN...if you feel the need..! DON'T just jump in and start turning screws because you think it's the thing to do, before you even pull the trigger for the first time.

Do you have a chronograph ? DON"T do any adjusting without one.

I recently bought a Vixen (short), in .22 cal.
It shoots fine for my normal tunes, that I adjust my other guns to for the range (distance) that I shoot. The trigger is set nicely, so no need to adjust that either ! The gun is accurate. So, yeah, outta the box, mine shoots well, no need for any adjusting.

Mike
I'm not planning to do anything.. ES is minimal and shoots great. Another poster asked a question several days ago which got my curiosity up since I had the bottle off to check the thing they were asking about unrelated.

Tuning  Ballistic Coefficient Database for .30 and Larger Slugs?

I have examined the very detailed "Ballistic Coefficient Database" at Hard Air Magazine.
A wonderful source of information!
However, only 3 entries exist, for .30 and larger projectiles....
This has me wondering....

1. Are there any other B.C. databases that exist, that include the larger/heavier airgun projectiles?

2. How much emphasis would you put into BC Coefficientcy, when choosing particular caliber and projectile, for long range accuracy?

Daisy 131 air rifle what kind of rail does it have??

So I own a daisy 131 air rifle and I want to put a scope on it but it has one of those old fashioned rails I don't know what it's called though I've been hearing dovetail rails Weaver rails and the more famously known picatinny rails sorry for the terrible spelling but I don't want to order the wrong scope and not have it fit and if someone has a good recommendation for a decent price for a scope please let me know

Snowpeak  Snowpeak M60B .357

Hi here is some information on my M60B 357 cal
got out today and shot the Snowpeak M60B I set the reg at 175bar the hammer spring 1-1/2 turns in from flush with receiver with 3600psi fill. 20 yards it shot just one hole than moved out at 60 yards shot 1-1/2 for 12 shots With FX 81gr 35 cal pellet. the Airgun is short quite and a decent price the trigger is very good And at this setting its getting 24 shots at around 75-77foot pounds before it goes off the regulator.i know I could probably run it up to 90-100 foot pounds And get one mag but it really shoots well and is quiet at this level. Here is the shot string look at the extreme spread it’s pretty good. This was the first time out with it and I am impressed with the build quality and simplicity so far. Not a powerhouse but I like it

Did you get the suppressed version or the Canadian? I’m back yard usually and I need it not louder than a typical nail gun thank you!
