Skout Airguns - EVO

the Skout's manometers are in 1/8 NPT threads
the Orc Airs guages will work if the Sekmets do not come in 1/8 NPT threads
the 25mm are slightly lower in profile. I found the 28mm to be a bit too big
Sorry. I failed to mention I was referring to the Evo, not the Epoch. I understood from the post I quoted from Luke of Skout Airguns that they went to BSPP threads on the Evo. It looks like Sekhmet offers a 25mm gauge, but it only reads out in bar and cannot be set to psi. I really prefer to stay in psi just for platform uniformity, since that's the language the manufacturer speaks. Not to mention I prefer psi, even though I've gotten used to bar on Impacts. I may just have to live with bar if I want to go digital accuracy right now.

MAGPU SOURCE

Well, I finally received my Dack Outdoors order for Magpul cheek risers.
Perhaps coincidentally after sending them a hate email telling them how much hate I’ve read on the web. Next day I get an email telling me my order is shipping. Then several days of UPS tracking showing no info available. So I send another hate email and they throw UPS under the bus. The tracking number wasn’t even close to UPS number sequence.
In the end, they came through today but not sure I will order from them again.
Their prices are really outstanding for many many items. But it’s your choice to order from them. I’ve never seen an online vendor say to expect an order to take 30 days but in the end they came through.

Umarex  CP88 Competition

not sure if Umarex will sell you the parts but Knibb has many
https://www.airgunspares.com/gunspares/airgun-spares/walther/cp88.html?p=2
so does Chambers
https://twchambers.co.uk/airgun-spares/walther/cp88/

collect what you think you need and wait for it to start leaking
cart seal i would get a few to have for no other reason than they will need replace the rest will last till they don't
i can't tell if the is a shiny black or matte black with oil on it
they started making them in 1996 and Umarex started putting there name on them in 2006 and the wood grips add 99 buck to the value
Thank you, this is a good call. I picked up a set of hard to find wood grips!!!

N/A  Storing loaded mags

I think the only time I would really care was if i was a competitive speed shooter. To have the piece of mind my equipment was running at absolute pinnacle.

For my application the cycle time I use typically doesn’t require a whole heck of a lot of effort on the magazine. Because of that I think me noticing a decrease in performance could take a very long time.

Shout out to Fireduck

Fireduck (Tristan) had an FX Impact for sale here in December. A buddy of mine was looking for one (after shooting mine) and found Tristans. We talked to Tristan on the phone and determined he was legit (it was a heck of a good price for a gun with upgrades and a great scope included so we were a little skeptical). My buddy dealt with a scammer on a trailer a month before this, he didn’t get burned and was making sure Tristan had the gun and it was in the shape he was saying it was. It was everything he said it was.

We lucked out on location…. My buddy’s son lives in Lynchburg VA, 3 hours from Tristan (we are 10) so he went down and picked it up. They met at the fire station where Tristan works and it went super smooth. I wish I could have went…

I took my daughter back to college in Lynchburg VA this week and picked up the gun. We got to shoot it a little today.

It was absolutely perfect! And, to top it off, Tristan gave him at least 3 full tins of pellets and about 4 tins of slugs! Holy cow, it was well over 100 bucks worth of ammo!!

Tristan is a fireman (a very honorable job) and was a fine young man to deal with. I hope our paths cross and we can meet, it would be a pleasure to know him a little better and do some shooting with him!

Pellet weight drastically affecting accuracy?

Another idea, the different pellets may have different size skirts or heads,Plus check out how the different pellets inter and extend in your magazine.
Do this,if you can,do not use your magazine and fit the pellets into the lead with your fingers...I personally think that there is something else going on.
The only way is to do a step by step process.,Try to be a detective.:giggle:

moving to hawaii..

From my experience flying out of Alaska you need a good hard TSA approved case fitted to your rifle. Use non TSA keyed padlocks and provide TSA only one key to unlock case. Watch TSA inspect the rifle and lock case and return key to you. I recommend rifle be fitted in case with scope up so when baggage handlers drop the case the scope is less likely to be damaged. I have been told to expect the air cylinder/tube to be inspected but haven't needed to do so yet. Refer to this item as a firearm to everyone except TSA, Customs and Law enforcement. Remove the LDC and pack it separately , not in the hard case. Maney AirGunNation forum members travel so this a good site for air gun specific info. db
