Dressing a barrel

As far as the seating chamfer goes, concentric, clean and smooth is the key. The chamfer can be 10° to 15°. But the chamfer should be "on...the barrel centerline" (concentric is the key word). As noted, it should also be smooth, burr free.

As far as the other end !
Angles aren't any sort of big deal...at all. You can ever put a "round" crown at the end of the barrel if you like. A lot of work to do well, but...

Chamfer Accuracy / concentricity...IS a big deal ! If the chamfer (crown !) is not square to the barrel centerline, neither will be the flight of the pellet.
The gas (air in this case) NEEDS to leave the barrel evenly with and around the pellet. If the chamfer is offset, or angled, the air will not leave with the pellet squarely and "evenly", and most likely push the pellet off center.

FX  IMPACT M3 SLUG LENGTH QUESTION?

Just ordered my first FX Impact M3 in 35 cal. from Utah Airguns.
I did order the 800mm STX Slug Tensioned Barrel Kit
Now I just need to wait about 4 weeks for it to land in the US.

I am looking to cast my own Slugs.
What is the Maximum slug length that will still function without issues?
Anyone have any Favorites for this setup?

Thanks.

Working out my D.O.P.E.

Nice meeting you at the match! Before I had a chronograph and Strelock I would print the course of fire for the month and then set the targets at those distances and shoot them and record the data. During the site in period, if I had to adjust my zero elevation I would make the adjustments to my data.

Western Airguns  New arrival! Sidewinder Mini

It’s now minus another 2dB. Doesn’t sound like much in print but it’s notable when shooting. I think that’s about as good as it’s going to get without major surgery. I will try progressively opening up the passages from the mod into the shroud but there’s usually not much to be gained there. Accuracy is still great, so no harm done either! (Aside from adding 4oz)

Evanix  The end of an era.

Let’s not be too subtle guys. The GK1 is a generational leap in PCP pistols. It will outshoot many compact bullpups both in terms of power and accuracy, and double/triple tap in a way that Leshiy 2 owners (including me) dreamed about before they were rudely awakened by its trigger.
Isn't that the truth,....Generational leap, great term to describe it.

Is this concept printable?

Time for an update on this thread. I got the V.2 unit the other day, plus another unit for a .22 Daystate Huntsman Revere.

I’m calling the V.2 unit S-TrQ

Accessories  FOUND Swaging Press

I'm interested in purchasing a fully functional swaging press with all necessary components to set up and swage slugs. Let me know what you have. Be prepared to answer questions about your setup and to provide photos. If you have not regularly participated in the AGN forums or are new I'd be less inclined to do business with you. If I think your asking price is outrageous I will say so. If you're a scammer then, well.....

I'm also in the market for some .357 swaging die sets. Let me know what you have (same criteria as what's stated above).

AEA Branded Pellets?

Sounds that you have it figured out. Keep on insisting with you neighbor, he might agree to let you shoot through his kitchen. As far as the kids in the park ask them politely if they can hold that yellow target you posted above their heads at around 75 yards. Over their heads should be safe enough. Out of respect for their parents make sure to let them know your intentions. It should all work out. Let us know how it goes. Can't wait to hear news. Take care!
Oh I'm sorry, I wasn't clear, there is a hill that makes a great backstop, there is a path that goes up around it, I attach targets to the kids bikes and scooters, quite a bit of fun but the parents seem to have an issue, weird huh? As for the neighbor, she keeps thinking I'm shooting at her, might have something to do with her costing me half a million dollars, that's another story though.
