I remember well when the Marksman branded Weihrauch’s came to be. I was in a club and the clubs understanding was that Weihrauch bought the Wisco plant to build the Marksman. Do not know if this was fact or not but I can say for certain that everyone who bought the Marksman version saw visible inferiorities. Definitely not as good of quality as the Weihrauch/Beeman brand. Less expensive also though.

FX lightweight liner spacers replacement

Hello , in my FX Crown 380mm barrel lightweight assembly , I had the feeling that the liner spacers (with an external O-ring) didn't have enough tight fit with the shroud ; the shroud was too easy to slip over the liners , as it was some play between shroud an liners . This was mainly true for the last liner , close to the "muzzle". Anyway I shot the gun as it was, .30 cal. , and the groups were very poor at 55 yards.
I decided to replace the last liner by another system . As you can see from the sketch below , I machined a steel tube 2mm thick wall , with a vey tight fit in the last inch of the liner , and a tight fit ( and centered , of course ) in the end cap , in which it was epoxied .
Now the groups are much better.
Moreocer , I think that the remaining spacer , close to the action, could be removed so the entire liner , minus the last inch , could be fitted with a carbon fiber lining . I'll try this one of these days ....

Wouldn't just replacing the shroud spacer be easier?

M600 Benjamin Airbow

Last year the Benjamin team debuted the new M600 at lethal air hog hunt. Talk about a crazy fast and extremely accurate arrow gun. This gun was literally Assembled the day before the hunt and a blast to shoot. The arrow bags were no match for the M600 as the bolts blasted right through like the bag wasn’t even there.

Shawty B’s bigger brother

Yep, got mine last week….couldn’t be happier with it.
Stuck a 10X SWFA on it and proceeded to get the same performance as above.
Super accurate and efficient.
The “big boys” got nothing over this high performance proven platform build by Rich that’s very affordable.
Love it!

Not to derail, but I’m digging your backyard. :)

Western Airguns  Rattler supressor

three things to help quiet your rattler down: i had the same issue its loud as hell if im getting over 900fps from 150gr slugs
1. turn up your regulator to 180 bar - be careful, and re read the manual how its done and dont turn it back down while pressurized
2. tune it properly with that power knob so youre not wasting any extra air which just makes it loud without getting much more velocity. i can get it up to like 930fps but it takes like double the air and dB, so drop it back to high 800's. the stock moderator can handle shorter bursts of higher pressure air
3. put a ton of 1mm holes all over the shroud and moderator. helps let the pressure dissipate a bit before it all blows out the .39 hole

N/A  FAT BOY 2.0 EXTENSION

So there is nothing at all inside of the extension tube ? It's basically an empty can ?
yes, I'll give you some advice, if you have a powerful enough carbine, the fatboy is completely useless, even with the extension, don't waste any more money...you can also insert additional sound-absorbing material, dividers and whatever you prefer into the extension, the fatboy is only good for the YouTube boyz... something else is needed to create silence

What is your particular airgun-related OCD habit?

Geez, I thought I was bad, ha ha.

Actually, after reading some of the replies, I feel more at ease. I actually thought I had a problem(maybe I still do), but my quirk stemmed from work and running construction hvac projects. The whole mental lists created in the head, of how I wanted certain things done. That has spilled into my retired life. I’m still not the best in organization like clothes, laundry, groceries, bills, to those things I say F that, but to my pcp stuff? Yes, I’m very meticulous, especially in prepping a gun up to start using it. I won’t grab a gun out of the box, and “just throw a set of mounts and a scope” on there like I’ve read some do. I won’t shoot the gun till everything is proper and in place.

Fasteners? Oh my. Not only torqued properly, but Phillips type screws all need to face the same direction, hex flats on nuts or bolt heads need to all be level on top, and there can be no excess threads of a screw sticking out past the nut when tightened, it must flush out.

Labeling- I’ve invested in paint pens of all colors, to put my name on mags, tools, anything pretty much loose from the gun that is popular and others may have. If I don’t write my name a certain way with the letters going in a certain style, out comes the acetone for a wipe off and do over.

As much as I hate to admit it, as I’m getting older it’s spilling into other things, stupid things like when I put my wife’s coffee cup out next to the coffee pot the handle of the cup is parallel with the pots handle. Vacuuming, I need to have the lines on the carpet all run parallel.

All of this annoys my family members, as I’ve caused us to be late for events as I’m checking all the door locks, stove knobs are shut, etc all thru out the house. But this is what I tell them- if they ask me to do something like fix or build, I can guarantee them the best job ever, no hack work, no short cuts, only quality. So rest assured people, and Gerry, lol, there’s pluses with this quirk(not gonna call it a disease, ha, ha!)
Come on folks let’s start a go fund me page for Augie. He doesn’t even realize that he’s crying out for help 😂!
Just kidding, he resealed my HW44 and it came back so clean I thought it was a different pistol lol!

N/A  Springers and bipods Hatsan 135 and TX200

Shooting sticks while very similar to a bipod in appearances are still somewhat different. Shooting sticks are much longer and not attached to the gun. They allow the rifle more unincumbered free motion. Plus it's easier to shift the guns support position on sticks to find the optimal support point.

Shooting sticks behave more like a rest than a traditional clamp on bipod.

I'm not trying to be argumentative. I'm sure you're a better shooter than I. I'm just trying to point out some different things about the two set ups.

Be well
Ron
Yes they are different, I should've worded my post as such. I guess what I was trying to say is the shooting sticks will be more forgiving than a bipod that is attached to the springer. I've never used a attached bipod on a springer, only on PB's. So I don't know from experience, but I assume the sticks will be more accurate, allowing for movement of the rifle.

Crosman  1322 550fps for $1

Those are very good results! The inlet pin mod helps a ton. You seem pretty observant and knowledgeable, but I'll give my spiel, anyhow. Once you work these guns up to these high force pump cycles, the pump pins, and links can wear quick. And if you're like me, your elbow, too. For the metal bits I've just been using mac1 secret sauce. My understanding is it's essentially industrial hydraulic fluid. Keeps them from wearing thru. Preservative effect is pretty dramatic compared to whatever I used to use. Will save you some tubes, pins, and links in the long run.

For my elbow, I sought out a high-leverage pump arm. This after the new style plastic arm broke, and I fitted an old style one to, it, and it was even harder to pump. Whcih started making my elbow hurt. This led me to Tom West. Of course there are other ways you can achieve these results. But Tom does very good work, and he doesn't ask a ton of money for his work. I think about $200 will get you a full stock set. But I asked, and he does not just do grips or pump arms by themselves.

Anyhow, mine has a flat top piston from mountain air custom, DIY flat valve, some port work, and the inlet pin mod. Get around 585fps @10 pumps with 14.3gr pellets. 14.5" LW barrel.

Finally chronographed one of my custom pumpers. 10, 11, and 12 pumps with a12 inch barrel and 14.3 cphp. Going back into my long tube carbine pumper to see if I can pass 600 in 10 pumps.
