Caliber to shoot at 20fpe, .25 possible???

Drop by a match and let them know you are interested and totally new to the game. I have shared my rifle many times with people interested in the sport, but who have never shot. If somebody asks if you want to shoot please don't say no....Take them up on it and have fun. The first time I shot FT I really sucked!!!!!

Now I have fun at it and most everybody are very welcoming when you start out....After a few matches you will settle down and get into a groove.

Our son was in town over Christmas and had never shot FT so we took him to the Tuesday morning "Crusty Critter" match and he shot Barb's Revere....After about 15 minutes on the sight in range he cleared the course....He beat both Barb and I 😱. Should have made him walk back to the house 😂😂😂

Definitely plan to drop by a match, won't even need to borrow a gun (other than maybe to see what to purchase next 😉). We bought a .30 Ghost to take care of a guinea fowl killing fox and a .177 barrel for the crazy lady that wants to try field targets. Although not as pretty a Ghost as the one Barb had in that photo I saw in one of the threads!!

Wow, that's quite an accomplishment for your son's never having shot FT!! Sounds like he had great teachers, maybe too good 🤣

AEA MAGS

I love my AEA but.......the mags i hate. They always fail at the worst time. I decided to make a few out of alum.
The chickens where in danger, so i had to act!! Testing them this week.

If these work out for you, I also would be interested in a few for sure!

Too cold for a PCP

I just spent a week hunting at below zero temps. I was only out for 30-40min at a time so YMMV.
My safety got super stiff and my magazine didn't always advance on my BRK Sniper, other than that it worked fine. I didn't have either issue with my Avenger or Notos, go figure.
With all 3 my POI might be down a fraction, but not so much it made a difference on my Crosman squirrel targets I use to unload before heading inside.
Long term it might mean I'm replacing o-rings sooner, we'll see...
Regardless, I'm still going to go out no matter the weather.

Other  Which one should I get?

I have a big compressor at the shop . but if that doesn't work I will buy compressor that will work for it. Alright then, so for the price I should go for the Brocock concept, since the price for both of them is the same.
I being a Maverick owner would say a Maverick, I personally happen to like them, if you have an airgun shop within 100 miles go visit them. Or try to buy from a dealer that has a good return policy. Brocock makes some nice guns, no matter what you won't be stopping at one. Some here are a tad on the over kill side others are constrained by economics and perhaps a touch, small, of common sense. Check around locally we have quite a few members in Texas, maybe some in your vicinity, they'll be more than thrilled to let you try their guns.

AEA  AEA hp BIN TAC .457

Sorry for raising the dead, but I recently purchased the very same gun; though, it's called an M50C in Bintac's website.

Mine is leaking. Started from the plenum and the receiver. I managed to correct that; now it's leaking from the old air fill port on the receiver and the other opening on the other side of the manometer. It's not fast, but it cannot hold a charge over night.

Various Types of Optical Glass Explained

To make things easy, just get the scope with excellent light transmission.
Then some people think the bigger the lens, the better the scope, the bigger the tube, the better the scope ...Now we are learning that is not true,it is the quality of the optics.
Why else would a cheap Chinese scope with a 56mm and 34 tube sale for $150 ?
Quality optics is an investment.

JTS  Airacuda max (.30)

How many shots on a fill at what FPE?
So I'm not sure of fpe but it will shoot 2 clips (14) shots before a fairly complete fall off. But if I was shooting an animal. I would only shoot 7 before topping off. There is a noticeable difference between clips 1 and 2 but still shoot able.

Pesting or Hunting in MA, NH or VT.

Greetings, I've been to the range in Hudson a hand full of times. Its definitely a great place for beginners and whatnot. I prefer an outdoor setting with alot more room/range though. Nothing beats the outdoors. I've been trying to find suitable places to go setup some targets and plink but have been largely unsuccessful. I know there's gotta be some hidden gems out there somewhere. I don't even have a yard I can use so I go to new england airgun to sight in when I get new optics or a new rifle.
