Aide for Caldwell Rock BR shooting rest

Making the stock more stable in the bags is a great help. Do it on the butt also.Turning a 10.5 lb bench rifle into a 17.0 gun required more weight than I could fit inside the butt. I added these rails to balance the rifle and it aided tracking tremendously. It did require having Protector making a rear bag to fit the rails.

Macavity Arms  MA-2 STOCK

These may help

you remove the butstock from the tube by pulling straight down on the adjustment lever and sliding it backwards - it should pull right off. The "tops" of the tubes turn to release them from a slot in the stock. They won't come out when the stock is on the tube, as the tabs hit the tube.

The tube tops pull out - I suppose you could carry extra pellets in the field if you so choose to...

Thank you for the info, as I had no idea.

FX  In search of 215 ft lb from FX impact M4 .35

There is M3/m4 hope for the 250ftlb limit, thanks to Ernest :
His superblock along with his tungsten hammer/hammer spring opens up until 200 psi
How the accuracy will be affected is to be seen.
Accuracy is purely...sort of... a function of not having an excess of air volume, you want enough to get it out of the muzzle and that's it. There is a very sweet spot when the stars align and the birds sing....or die as the case may be.

Umarex  Underrated?

I have a Benjamin Airbow which is very accurate as long as I align the fletchings just right but the problem here in Missouri is you can only use it during gun season. I have a Tenpoint Titan M1 crossbow that I've had for 7 years and only had to change the cables and string once, but I only shoot it to sight in each year and hunt an I've taken several deer with it out to 40 yards. I'm hoping the state finally makes it legal to hunt with during our bow season before to long.
I'm in New york ,boooooo!! Oh man the restrictions pretty sure no airgun hunting for deer or bear .not even sure about small game
I'm on long island cant touch any animals here .40 yards is the perfect range for airbows .Benjamin or airsaber 40 yards is nice shot not sacrificing power

Daystate  Wolverine R Trigger Adjustment

EPG, thank you for a professional job of describing how to adjust the trigger on Wolverines. You must be a technical writer, no? Great job. I ordered a bag of small gun springs from Midway USA and hope I can find a suitable one. I discussed the use of ballpoint pen springs with a friend and he pointed out that the material used for those are super cheap and may not maintain the spring rate. Sounds logical to me. BTW, I measured the first stage trigger weight and it's 6.7 oz and there's no way of adjusting it short of changing it's spring. If the weight on that portion could be knocked down, that would even be better.

25 / 26 April range visit

The range / steel in the range get more colourful, just got a good deal på florescent pink in rattle cans, so added that to the palette of gong / spinner / backstop colours.

Though i had one of those OMG shots again at very little targets ( 6 mm hole ) far away ( 118 M ) but this time shot #1 was just to the right of the hole, so compensated and shot again, only to find out shot #2 go even further Right and just ever so gently nick the paddle so you could barely hear it or see movement on the paddle in the scope.

I miss a lot, but that is what you get when aim small and is forced to use a lesser calibre.
That is why my shooting are generally a matter of acceptable miss distances than actual hits.

At first i tell my friend that i have to go look CUZ i might had one of those really good shots.

FX  Leopard .22 light pellets

You bet. 110 bar and power 8 and 1.77. 18 gr at 930 very good. The South African clan tuned them down. Mine shouts 16/18 gr very well but the 20.83 are fire at 930. 4 mags. On a tube gun. Very air efficient.
Thats great to hear!
Which length barrel are you useing?
500, 600, or 700 mm?

Buckrail+orcair chrono

Ok guys after some long and hard thinking and few failed tries,
today I came up with this idea and decided to give it a go,
I was fed up with Orcair chrono stupid loud by itself but I love the form factor,
and was unable to figure out how to integrate this pocket chrono with a suppressor,
well I finally achieved it and wanted to share with u guys if any of u want use it urself,
sanded the buck rail 3d suppressor untill I was able to make the outer end sit inside the adjustable collar of Orcair chrono about 1/4 depth of the collar and did use a vernier caliper to make sure that all the sides of suppressor are aligned and then I super glued it and let it dry for a day,
and then I tested it just now and compared the reading with dlx pro chrono and it works flawless.
i can sleep better now.
few pics for ur viewing pleasure.

FX  Trouble with my fx panthera compact top air gauge

Brand new gun got like 5k into it shot it twice and the Top gauge has been leaking since I bought it. Started slow now it’s major leak and I can’t get the damn thing unscrewed. 25mm socket won’t fit, tried a spanner damn it came from supplier way too tight which is prob why it’s leaking. Should I take the entire block off or should I just bend the crap out of it and call it a day the plastic cover is already comming off.

I’m ready to give up on the whole damn thing. Here’s a YouTube of my gun and all my goodies includes a NF scope and Donny RYU two tanks and folding stock.

The range

Every year spring time to me is rearrange the range. This year I got a little push from Mother Nature. I went through my pics and pick 1 for each year.
This is 2020 the first target, Center right. A little ruff. View attachment 5583152021 Major digging. The dump truck and excavator were easily my all time favorite toys. Never drove either before I scored them. The changes I did were endless. Had them both for 3 years and sold and miss them. View attachment 5583172021 the range is taking shape. Shoot between the rocks. Frying pans, were noisy. View attachment 558361
2022 busy year on yard. In the fall of 22 I lined the range with 30 tons of rock.
View attachment 5583242023 View attachment 5583252024 I finished my 6 year project on yard, so the range was abandoned. View attachment 558327And this is a month ago. Snow finishing its melt. Notice the maple at the top right. View attachment 558330One week later we had 3 days of freezing rain. That’s the same tree. View attachment 558331Power was dead so I cut off lines. No power 10 days.
It ripped up the range pretty good. That’s Iron wood bowing which I later pulled back with ropes and left tied down. View attachment 558332For the better part of this week I did a major cleanup. And have the sore body to prove it.
A member mentioned cinder blocks and I adopted the idea with I think success. The Maple that fell, I secured it up top and used it to hold 2 poles.
A little gravel to keep it clean when wet.
View attachment 558354This is what I see from my bench. Will make a few small adjustments. I’m looking forward to smacking some targets. View attachment 558355This is 25 yds. to 35 yds. and have a section to the left of this range that can give me 48 yds, which is my next project. Already started. Crow
oooh i like it

HW/Weihrauch  Skirtless piston

I missed that you were inquiring about skirtless for a 97.

I do like the skirtless set-up in my TX, but it’s target only and sub-12. Running bronze bearings machined for fit in the comp tube, and set as far apart as possible helps with stability. Having a perfect or near perfectly straight rod is necessary too.

As with any tune, everything needs to be in balance….piston weight, spring rate, port size, stroke and pellets being used. Go too light on the piston, too light on spring, too small on port size or too heavy on pellets and you may see some accuracy robbing bounce. I’ve got mine set up at 90mm stroke and just over 155 grain piston weight including tophat and tuned for 7.87 to 8.44gr range.

It sure looks cool . Would like to get into it, but realize that is not what I am looking for.

It sure looks cool, and I may be tempted to get into it, but will not give the results I am looking for. Besides, i don't have access to a decent lathe. Is not only paper punching, but also some power that i want. The skirt around the piston has only the role of guiding the rod to latch, in the HW97. Eliminating that, creates the need of other mod's. Not worth it, so I am out! Will mod a piston even lighter, with skirt, and work around the spring tuning. Thanks for sharing the pic.!

Snowpeak  No step in pressure tube Artemis P15!

Well it did the usual: bumped up speed significantly. I had tried upping the power to no prevail. After installing the plenum I got way more fpe. Something like 10 to 15 fpe more out of a previously anemic setup. Just enough to smack serious critters.

Increasing regulator pressure does very little after the max efficiency is achieved. Then it pretty much doesn't matter how much you wound the hammer and reg.
When you find that level, adding plenum size usually nets you more energy without touching anything, although one may want to search for all those loose ponies and get the accuracy.

It's been much debated if plenum saves air. What I have interpreted is that when shooting your max power level with a very small plenum, you're wasting a lot and not getting much out of it. So in that sense adding plenum volume will inevitably increase power and conserve air, albeit not to the extent to be regarded as air saving add on.
This is only my take on rather meaningless endeavor years back.
If someone has in depth info, I will stand corrected.

All the best
Thank you. I will buy and install it to see what will happen.
