My DIY accessary MODS for Snowpeak M60B

Added two more accessories to my M60B. A single loader and a 16 rounds magazine from Maple Custom Products.

I must say these 3D printed magazines are of very high quality and design, and they cycle very well. I will enjoy the single loader just so I can slow down my shooting and focus more on the accuracy testings at longer ranges. Can't wait to test them out in the field when the weather permits.

N/A  Absolute best product, targets.

Thanks for sharing Crow!
I've been shooting snow targets for decades. Especially love the snow stuck in all the little crevices of trees.
I shoot a hole in the snow, and the hole becomes my new target. I actually have zero'd many scopes by using this "nature's shoot and see" target.
Lots of fun!
Your welcome, that one faded shot I put ten through the hole 30 yds.
And to zero a scope is a joke in the snow. Crow
The sprayers allways clog before their empty anyway.
We had a snow storm in 63 I think it was. Lol
Our precipitation is a little wetter, so we need floating tarfgets.
I go through 20 cans a year. Most clog. The ones that don’t I save. Crow

FOOT PUMP for PCP's?

I have seen this posited a couple of times over the years and it always makes me wince.

Hand pumps AND compressors, regardless of how many "stages" are involved, have a compression stroke and an intake stroke.

I have NEVER had nor seen a hand pump that makes compression on both the up and down strokes as you seem to be claiming.

However, I could be wrong. If I am, prove it. PLEASE! (smile)

I would love it. (grin)

Thanks

All my best!

Kerry
Every stroke (up AND down) creates pressure in a multi-stage pump, whether hand- or motor-driven.

Another precision sport

I have been shooting traditional archery since I was knee-high to a grasshopper. I can usually hit a desert plate sized target but it takes constant practice to stay sharp. I shoot a traditional league on Tuesday nights. I try and shoot on the weekends when the weather is nice. Very fun sport, very challenging.

Do you wear your Reading glasses while using a scope?

I wear my glasses with progressive lenses pretty much all my waking hours and have since I was a child. I am near sighted so I can read a book with no lenses but I cannot see at a distance well without glasses. My glasses have almost no correction for near vision I guess. Things are a little bigger with them on but I can focus fine without them. Actually one of the few times I take them off is if I have to pull a splinter or something like that were I really need to see well up close. But for shooting I wear them and always have. They have safety lenses.

Brocock/BRK  BRK Ghost - the most current update

I have no idea what their coming out with my guess was a stock. Either way we all seem to know that slugs and pellets seem to not work well together and need different barrels with different twist rates. The current ghost is a great pellet shooter and its very easy to change barrels. It also has enough power to push slugs to a reasonable speed. So either gun ( if they bring out a slugger) would be good with either barrel. My thoughts

N/A  New to pcps any recomendations

I've owned two .22 Marauders over the years and they are great guns. Both my and my best friend's Marauders are heavily modified but were a great basic air rifle to work on and learn. I'm not sure if Crosman has improved their .22 barrels to be more consistently accurate but we both replaced them with LW barrels and they're very accurate. Awesome trigger.

But, another good friend just bought a .22 Avenger for $399 at a great air rifle store in Colville, WA. Last weekend we spent a few hours mounting the 3-12 scope, dropping the regulator down from 2600# to 1700# and taking out some hammer spring tension to make it smoother and easier to cock. We shot 8 different types of pellets and it shot all 4 types of Crosman pellets acceptably well but WOW, the JSB's shot awesome. We were shooting 10 shot groups at 50 yards and it's a real tack driver. 8 of the 10 JSB 18.1g pellets went through one ragged hole you could cover with a nickel. 2 were just outside that but we're not sure if there's something loose in the scope. This happened on another air rifle using this scope.

He then bought an orange AC/DC dual fan Vevor compressor for $165 off of AliExpress and it arrived in 4 days. Very neat little compressor. $24 scope mounts.

I'd recommend the UTG Classic 3-12x44 scope, not the compact or IR one. This scope is very good for the $100 cost and ranges well for a 12X scope.

These items would be just over $600.

Model 48 Being Discontinued by Diana

I’ve had good luck with the althon talos 3-12x40 sfp scopes which Althon said is springer rated. Have this scope on all my springers and the 48 too with no problems. Lifetime warranty
I'll look into the Athlon for my other rifles, but I think I'm going to go with something bigger on this particular one. The 56th really isn't the kind of rifle you'd ever do any kind of stalking or hunting where you'd need to quickly acquire your sight picture with. I've got a 6-25x56 scope on a PCP, (I don't remember the maker), and I'm thinking that if I swap that out for the Bushnell that's on the 56 right now that I might be able to keep using that scope on the PCP. The glass on it is really very good, so it would be a shame to throw it out. A Diana 54 or 56 is probably the hardest air rifle on scopes ever made, so it could be that I won't notice the shifting POI on something else.

Uragan gen 1 .30 slug suggestions?

2 thing about uragan 1 they don't like heavy moderators .. and the barrel needs to be tensioned in order to work properly.. if I have not tension mine in my 3 uragan they were worthles.. you know you have a crapy harmonics nuts gun if when you shoot you can't follow you shoot in a medium power gun .ones the barrels where tensioned and the proper moderator found for each caliber then and only then they where a joy to shoot.. I only keep the 177 - 22 - 30 .. the 2 25 cal i got where impossible to use at longer range so they where sold .. the vulcan 3 500mm where a bit better but I really hate that ping noise..no way to enjoy a gun that loud to the ear, hammer strike is really bad .
