N/A  Barrel through Plentum VS. Barrel through Reservoir VS. Barrel through Plentum AND Reservoir ?

Time will tell. With a plenum, the pressure would remain stable, with the reservoir over the barrel and the pressure changes that naturally happen, I’m wondering how this would affect harmonics. The stiffness this system could add would be a big bonus though.
Wouldn't there be a wild change in pressure as you pull the trigger? I would think before and after a shot it's stable but during? What piece of info am I missing?
I think air pressure surrounding the barrel would be a good stiffener and damper, but I also think that the changing air pressure and expansion/contraction of the air cylinder during pressure changes "could" affect point of aim, especially from shooting session to session. As we've seen on some guns with solid barrel bands, bending of the air cylinder can cause poi shift problems.
Time will tell.
But i often see talk about air around barrel might induce POI change or at least fluctuations in POI, i can not see why that should happen, the air pressure are the same on all sides of the barrel, and drop just as fast on all side of the barrel when shots are made.
The barrel through plentum design, would be subjected to drastic changes after each and every shot, but always return to a consistant pressure.
The barrel through a large reservoir design, would be subject to smaller changes between shots, but the pressure would decrease after each shot.
Perhaps Bara, and the JTS StealthHawk have the best idea, by having the barrel go through BOTH the plentum and the reservoir???
3 similar, yet completely different approachs.
I believe that at least one of these 3 methods, will be a step forward in air gun technology.
Its going to be interesting to see how this all plays out.

FX  Wildcat compact 22 and Altaros slugs👍

This guy was taken at the base of my neighbors yard at 85y with the WC having sat for 2 days. My neighbor has problems with the squirrels storing walnuts in the attic, which required some expensive cleanup, so he encourages me to text him for clearance to nix them. This one had his back to me, stooped over, chowing on a walnut, so a headshot was not on the cards, but he was backed by a tree, so the opportunity to shoot safely was deemed better than waiting for him to move. I went for the upper spine and the slug was right on the point of aim with projected holdover. It exited through the mouth and the squirrel died instantly. Obviously a pass through, but at 56fpe, most things will pass through unless I’ve missed the discovery of the magic projectile. I’ll refrain from showing the mouth shot but it’s clear that the slug had greatly expanded by that time, traveling around 3 inches.

Boo-yah! Perfect opportunity for demonstration! Btw if you want slugs that will practically explode upon entering, try the 22gr XLHP slugs from varmint knockers. I dont buy them anymore due to them being to costly for my daily pest control. But they create the most gruesome of enpasion in an iguanas skull and they dont exit the other side shooting an iguana in the body

Hatsan  Hatsan Factor RC Decked.... well almost decked out...

@BigJohn651 Thank you! Yes, Jeff at Trenier is awesome, I bought a couple rifles from him and alot of parts! Also, thank you for Hotsnots contact info, I currently have my Factor RC listed in the Classified just because I'm wanting to fund another purchase, but if it doesn't sell, I may go this route! I have a couple of the older MOD40's and Mod30's, they are my favorite moderators.

⁍⁍ Did someone say: "We need BETTER PROJECTILES" ??

I'm not sure I would require Altaros slugs to be "lead free" (that's a whole different thread on environmentalism 😉).

But I sure would like to see Altaros (or any other manufacturer) to offer something with a dream BC of 0.2 ➔ but a bit lighter than the ATP 49.5gr (.25) slugs.

Because I like compact guns — which makes it hard to get heavy projectiles up to speed.
(But then again, that's just me and my compact obsession. I will probably get at least one comment from you guys telling me to get a life and get a dedicated slug gun with a proper 700mm barrel. 🤷🏻‍♂️ And you're probably right. 🤦🏻‍♂️)

Matthias
I feel your sentiment, but only to a point. Compact guns can definitely put out some power if you design them in such a way. Huben k1, although not exactly compact side, still a bullpup, able to put out over 90fpe in .25 and keeping a somewhat compactish design. The GK1 being able to do nearly the same as a pistol. I have a leshiy classic in .25 with a 350mm barrel that I have been able to tune by just adjusting the regulator to put out 54ish fpe or shooting a 34gr jsb pellet at about 856fps for about 9 shots. It definitely can be done.

Mine is a tack driver for sure. This is a ten-shot group at 60 yards 10 mph wind or better gust. Altraros ATP Queen 60 gr 25 cal. Key was only thing I had for comparison.

N/A  Slow isn’t the word

Just the heads up my order from JG Airguns paid in 1-27 is going to ship tomorrow...
They may be great folks , but my gosh not in a hurry to get you something you paid for.

I also find it funny that the company requires you to pay the insurance for loss. The way I look at it is. I have taken care of my end of the deal by paying you. It's a responsibility on your end to get it to me.That is just strange ,I will no longer be doing business with these people.

FX  FX Impact M3 - fired with bolt open

The gun is fixed! Put the gauge and bottle back on and pumped it up with zero leak. It had to be a loose gauge that must have been jarred just enough to make it leak. Huge relief for him!

Thanks for the replies, much appreciated to hear from guys with more experience!
