Sheridan  Reuniting with a long-lost love

I agree completely. The Blue Streak was my first "real" pellet rifle. I found a NOS 1973 Blue Streak rifle still in the original box. Never been shot. I traded him a beat up R9 and I ran out of the building before he realized I had stolen his rifle.

Taipan  taipan slash - mag info

I haven't been able to test at the range. The mag is too narrow to allow .218's into it without a lot of pressure.
My other 550mm cz un-ckoked barrel (epic, taipan vet II ... .22) like .218's
Assuming the barrel in the Slash likes .218's as well but they might even get sized down below .218 from the tight magazine and I have no idea if .217's would work as well as .218 (might)
I'm not surprised at all. I am convinced most manufacturers think barrels are exact. I'm already considering using the pellet mags to fit bigger slugs. It's obvious they are looking to fit bore diameter.

Prototype OK, but ... already planning V2 (Rifle rest).

The rifle rest I JUST finished after 4 days of trial fitting & error, works OK, but there are some shortcomings.

First off, the rear of the rest is too thick. I'm not able to correctly place my face against the cheek of the stock, so my alignment is way off when looking through the scope.

The 'feet,' are made up of triple-layer 2×6×10 boards (front) and triple-layer 2×4×5 boards (rear), with the rear foot height adjustable. They are very steady, but add more weight than I'd like, and with any tilt at all, they only rest on the corner of the boards, not flat.

And finally, the 2×4×24 "backbone" looks like Swiss Cheese from all the screws that I used to attach the different supports, then decided they would work better elsewhere.

I have more than enough scrap wood to competely build a new one, so that's what I'm going to do.

The biggest change will be the support feet. Instead of layered 2×6 and 2×4 boards, I found several feet of 2" (id) PVC pipe.

I'm thinking that I could cut 2, 10" pieces and 2, 5" pieces, double them up and then attach them to the frame as the feet. The curved surface will give a more consistent (but still small) contact patch on the shooting bench, and I will attach rubber pads (like furniture feet pads) to give the tubular feet better grip.

Hopefully I will have V2 pictures this evening.

Bayonet, that’s a good one!

The two-yarder was a young, dumb one who came up to my shooting position. I didn’t use Strelok or even the scope, just by guess & by golly. That one took two shots.

Landowner said he’s tried rimfire but after one shot they all disappear for the day. I love my quiet and accurate rifle!
.17 HMR from 100+ yards is easy, by the time they figure out what's happening, it's all over. I used a Savage A17.

Airforce  Condor Tank Valve

I'm sure it has something to do with protecting a revenue stream. Probably want you to buy a tophat and bottle if you wanted to put a CF bottle on the gun.

Niksan has the rear bottle and adapter on the Escalade rifle thread locked.
AF might counter that since the CF bottle is at a higher pressure, it needs a valve tuned for that, and so they only provide the correct valve-tank combinations. One downside to something that is idiot-easy to work on is that idiots will work on them. They could still have revenue if they sold bottles and valves separately, but then might be responsible for the mis-use of those items. The 3000 psi valve on a carbon bottle is one thing, but a 4500 psi valve on an aluminum bottle... somebody, somewhere will fill that to 4500 psi.
