It turns out rifle had more wear than I originally thought. After a hundred rounds, it started to act up. Halfway cocked it would slip as the cocking mechanism was worn too short. I needed to breakout the Mig Welder and add a "large" 1/16 of an inch. I moved the sight from the rear location to the upper location, shoots way better now and is a tack driver.

I took a .22 breech and drilled out the bushing where the probe comes thru to make it a .25 caliber after sleeving the probe. I noticed the same thing it would not stay closed. I disassembled the probe a put a small maybe 2 coil spring ( from a cut down hammer spring ) on the probe and put back in breech . After reassembly the spring kept enough pressure that the lever locked in place. Hope this helps.

now what do you get from the barrel band, some support
the rifle barrel is 9 inch + or - longer than the pistol barrel plus the factory mod add another what 6-7 inches and at that point the band looks good
the barrel being 12mm and the breech being 10mm i think it has it's purpose
is it needed maybe not but i bet if you look at enough rifles with thin barrels they will have barrel bands
now i know people swear by floating barrels but in this case it might be just that added protection you will get by the support it gives the breech
don't know really
but i do know they are a nice place to hang a bipod

Nothing wrong with the stock magazine. It works well for me as well as the greatest majority of Avenger owners

I originally bought this rifle hoping to get into wrabf 25 meter Benchrest shooting. Living here in the northeast , only to find there are no clubs near me that participate in it.
In excellent working condition.
Comes with several jets for power conversion from 12fpe to over 30fpe depending upon what class you want to shoot.
There was one minor defect in the anodizing (see pic) that Mike told me about during production, and a couple light scratches on the br block (see pic).
I have two barrels. One poly and one regular barrel.
The stock is a plum purple color. Hopefully the pics do it justice.
Trigger is currently fully adjustable. Picattiny scope rail.
Anyone familiar with these rifles knows the wait time for one of these is over a year.

I do need to take off my moderator when I put some of my guns into the case so a QD would be appealing in concept. However the moderator needs very tight tolerance in order for the moderator to have correct alignment so it won't clip especially with tighter bore diameter and longer moderator. In the end not sure if making an ultra high precision foldable moderator is worth the cost of simply twisting on a regular moderator. I'm not even a fan of Donny's new QD moderator.
