hmm...maybe it is because i have not been shooting in 10 years, but i really like the JSB MRD Shallows for my RAW HM1000x.
i just came back to shooting within the past 6 months, during that time, i have tried the current productions of FX and JSB 25.39g pellets.
The current production was garbage...Varied weights, innconsistencies on head sizes..overall, poor quality.
My rifle shot these like a shotgun at 100 yards....pellets flying everywhere, even when weighed and sorted.
As i understand, the recent release of the Shallows is a re-release of the earlier model JSB first produced.
The "new to me" Shallows are a night/day difference at 100
These are.5 shot groups at 100 and then I took single shots at target

This is a good one, I was zeroing my scope an iguana was on a tree about 10 behind it so thats about 55 ft. These aren’t the big guys you see on tv or the east coast fla, took aim on his head and good by found him headless. So far I like this gun.

Good shape but if you are picky buy a new one. There are a couple of marks on the wood and the muzzle has a couple spots where a moderator was previously installed.Hardly anything but I've had bad luck with people expecting used price and new condition

Factory parts with ARH moly and tar on the spring. Post in front aperture and the slot screw replaced with Allen head.
Shoots 14.3g pellets at 575 fps
It's a one hole gun at 50' .
I just find myself shooting my HW30 in .22 much more often or my RWS48 when I need power .

Looking for the can moderators that are just hollow (pre Donny FL moderator). Looking for a fair price. It’s basically a metal can with no baffles inside. This is for a .22 cal, but a .25 cal or .30 cal works too.

Congratulations. The pallet idea seems good to me too. I would also suggest expanding your horizons a bit and include squirrels in your list of targets. I find rabbits are less plentiful but it may be because they are pretty dumb. Squirrels are smaller, tougher targets and more plentiful around here. I would also make a habit of taking raccoons and possums when you see them and when it is legal. A well aimed 22 or 25 caliber PCP shot will take them. Coyotes too for that matter. I do not think you can legally take owls and hawks but if you can they eat bunnies too.

You just have to tell your self if you break the shot and it’s NOT the condition you want then you are going to MISS. I’d rather wait than just hurl lead Willy Nilly, but it took a couple years for me to get that concept through my thick head! If both flags are aligned in the direction that you trust and you can trust your rifle then chances are you are going to score well. If you just chuck lead, always aiming at the bull and hoping the wind won’t affect your pellets flight, then it’s likely you won’t score well.
