N/A  CARBINE - Affordable AND Traditional Looking Carbine (less than 40" OAL) Suggestions Please.

With a short shroud the Marauder is 39.75 inches, can be shorter yet. Shrouds can be cut and threaded or purchased from Tim Hill. As well, Airgun Revisions produces a short Marauder that is about 36 inches long. Aluminum reservoir tubes are available from time to time which puts the weight down around 5.5 pounds with the SynRod stock.

Anyone have a .20 calibre air rifle?

Anybody here have a .20 air rifle? What do you guys think of your .20 compared to your other air rifles.
Again I'm limited to sub 12ft/lb limit.
I'm thinking to exchange my 177 hw77k for a .20 hw97k but the problem is there's only 5 choices of .20 pellets in every store online that I checked in uk.

I only ever plan on having 2 air rifles so if I do get .20 hw97k then the hw77k has to go.
I recently purchased a HW95 in .20 and its the best springer I have owned to date. Smooth cocking and very accurate. I tried two pellets both H&N and settled on the 11.42gr. Rumor has it the .20s are better built, don't know that its true but I'm loving mine. BTW it's the FAC as I live in the US.

Tasty black squirrels tonight!

I agree 100%. I age all my squirrels(small game) for a week before eating or freezing.
I also slow cook all squirrels so they end up like pulled pork.
I have yet to try the batter fried recipes but I'm curious.
Would love an invite to partake and would contribute some squirrels to the feast. Just a former city old boy looking to be schooled…🤓

Looks like a Brian Samson on Motorheads TX. I've got a couple and they're great. I'd recommend them.

Thanks Cole will send them an email.

Hatsan  Hatsan flash valve seat issues

I know I’m tagging onto this forum but is Hatsan a decent brand? I’m new and am looking into different air rifles for field target competitions
Hatsan sells a lot of air rifles, so you're going to hear glowing reviews from some and a lot of negative opinions from others like above. You'll hear the exact same things about other brands like Gamo, or Umarex.

Some people have great experiences with no issues, others get lemons. Their QC can be spotty at times, but they are a budget brand, not a premium brand like FX.

I own three Hatsan's myself, and I really like them. My flash gave me 5 years of trouble-free use, and My current issue with my Flash is just a typical wear part that will pretty much happen with any brand even the top shelf ones. I also own a Mod 95 QE and a Mod 135 QE, both with the vortex gas piston. They're both really fun accurate break barrels that make good power.

My mod 95 Vortex gas piston did fail after 6 years. I have no complaints about Hatsan's customer service. In both cases where I needed a replacement gas ram for the 95, and the valve seat and pin for my flash I emailed HatsanUSA, got a response the same day, paid a few bucks, and had replacement parts on my doorstep within a week.

Basically Hatsan makes some fun and powerful air guns at fairly low budget prices. Their QC can be a bit hit or miss, and their customer service seems to be great for some like in my case, or terrible for others. What I can say for certain is that I absolutely love both my flash and my Mod 135, and don't mind spending a few bucks to keep them up and running as parts wear out.

Medium sized filter with desiccant now available, link inside (only 32 beans!)

This. My understanding is that you do not wan't the water absorbing material coming in contact with the metal sleeve as it will lead to corrosion. I'm also not comfortable with the little cotton discs supplied. It would appear that the only thing preventing the media from getting into the air line is that thin filter.

This product would be a hard pass for me.

You want a good filter take a look at the Altaros one.
Comes with a plastic sleeve to contain the media.
I like it. You think it may be overkill for GX Pump GX E L3 PCP?

Huma regulator question. Is this right?

Understood. when I was talking shot groups, I was talking consistency, not how much I was gonna get out of it. I know all well I was gonna lose shot count overall, but my wanting to do this was to make everything more even across the board. I'm still getting 20 shots so that's two good magazines. Only after coyotes which probably isn't gonna give me enough chances for that anyway. Yes, he's got good advice, thanks.

N/A  Tactical gun and tactical scope

Sighted in the combo at about 12 yards and if I was a mite steadier they would all fit in the same hole, however using a rest several shot were within about .3 inch spread, and I did post it as a .22 but it is actually a .177. Too many guns is my excuse. Turned out to be a fun combination. Charles

Benjamin Recharge

Important update from Crosman. Tech/service @ Crosman are now recommending using 50% premix antifreeze. Flushed out the cooling system and now running premix antifreeze. All good so far. Filled a friends 4 tanks from 3000 to 4000 psi...not a hiccup, no temperature shut off for cooling down.
