Other  How would one value this rare PCP?

It’s worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.

I’ve sold rare but not quite antique airguns here on AGN for a lot more than their “listed” value. It wasn’t quick, but eventually someone came along who wanted the airguns bad enough to agree with my valuation. I’ve also spent more on airguns than what others might have spent. But it’s my money and I work hard to make it and waste it.

List it for what you want to get from it. Then be patient. Then if your patience runs out, lower your ask and wait some more.

FX  FX crown leak.

Hi,
Since the only path for air to get to the barrel is through the valve and valve seat, I expect something is still wrong. From the sound of your initial problem I expect that there was damage done to the receiver block by the hammer (may have been happening for a while and the damage was simply accumulating).

I had this happen to a Crown Mk II I bought used and made the mistake of dry firing to empty the plenum of air when I first got it. I didn't realize that the previous owner had put in a 26g hammer weight and had the internal hammer adjuster maxed out. The aluminum around the hole the valve pin stuck out of was deformed and caused the vale to jam and not seat properly, blowing all of the air out of my rifle. The only solution was to send back to FX USA (at the time) where they redrilled out the valve pin passage.

I expect that your valve pin passage has been damaged and that is what is keeping your new valve pin from properly seating in your new valve seat.

Sorry for the diagnosis! Though if there is a good machine shop near you they can probably use a honing tool to sort out the problem without having to redrill.

Cheers,
Greg
Thanks Greg iwas thinking the same thing.in my case there were no changes made to my gun and I was shooting 17.5 gr Nelsons at 130bar. When I originally lost the air I tried filling and was a rush when I tried. After the valve replacement it’s a whisper……improvement but not fixed. Have shot thousands of rounds so knew it was just a matter of time till something leaked…haha. Still have my Impact but it certainly doesn’t carry like my crown. I’m in small town sask so getting it fixed locally is no option Take care

Is lubricating pellets necessary?

I am dialed in now with the 4.52 lubed pellets and today a shot almost a full tin checking the sight in from 10-60 yards.
Yesterday a prepped a new tin. Same lot but different tin. I’ll be at the range real early and test the new tin. I’m interested to see if anything changes. If so I’ll buy eight tins and mix them all together . Lube clean and sort them. Then clean the barrel between big batches .

Is the Air Venturi Wingman 74 cu ft PCP tank the same as 6.8L?

Applying Boyle's Law for an ideal gas (P1V1=P2V2), a 6.8 liter tank will "hold" app. 74 cu feet of air at 4500 psi. Because air does not behave as an ideal gas at 4500 psi, the actual capacity is calculated using Van Der Walls constants.

A 6.8 liter tank may be advertised as a 74 cu foot tank, but in reality it holds 66 cu feet of air at 4500 psi at standard temperature.

N/A  Dots, Peeps or Scopes ??

Me too. Whichever sighting device I use depends on the rifle and what it's application is. There is nothing cast in stone.
Exactly. If I’m having a great shooting day, “usually with a scope” I like to up the ante and go to the dot. Then to the diopter. At 40 yards they become a good challenge. I’m about to increase my 40 yard range to 50 yards also.

FX Impact M4 rear stock holes - Will MLOK accessories fit?

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone tried to see if any MLOK accessories will fit the rear stock of an Impact M4? I don't have any so I can't try for myself. See picture below. I know Saber tactical had an attachment for the M3 which isn't compatible with the M4. My only guess would be the M4 metal thickness is too thick for the MLOK to fit... maybe the length of the hole is too short too. The reason why I'm asking is I'm trying to figure out a way to mount a sling. The only way so far is to thread the sling from one hole and out the other. It is functional but not pretty...

Aim line , poi, to target position

There's a lot of psychology in shooting. Your brain may let your aim fade further off center due to asymmetry of background clutter or other unconscious visual cues. It seems like your "additive miss" reacting to position is reasonably consistent. It would be fun to test it with a scope...
Lol.. ya, i always chalked it up to optical illusion mind tricking me .. just my eyes/ mind gets drawed off .. lol
